Answer: Jacen Solo

Jacen became the major antagonist of the series as the Sith Lord Caedus. This had occurred in the novel "Sacrifice" after Jacen killed his aunt Mara Jade Skywalker and given himself the name of Darth Caedus. From there, Caedus became the primary villain of the series, no longer supported by the Sith Lady Lumiya.

Answer: Boba Fett

Boba had been written into the series thanks to its second author, Karen Traviss, who adores Mandalorians. He has appeared in each of Traviss's own novels in the series: "Bloodlines", "Sacrifice", and "Revelation". The only novel Fett appeared in that wasn't written by Karen Traviss was Troy Denning's finale to "Legacy of the Force", "Invincible".

Answer: Lumiya

After Jacen killed his aunt and assured himself a position as the Sith Lord in "Sacrifice", Lumiya knew her purpose in training Jacen was done. As a result, she took the rap for Mara's death and had Luke Skywalker kill her later on near the very end of the novel. This didn't last long before Luke's son, Ben, pointed out that he was near Lumiya when he felt his mother die in the Force.

In "Inferno", after Cal Omas committed suicide by Ben Skywalker's blade, Luke wrongfully accused Caedus of sending Ben to assassinate Omas so that the Sith Lord could permanently control the Galactic Alliance. Luke refused to listen to Caedus's words and left him. Ironically, this was a bad time, because if the Jedi had stayed with Caedus just a bit longer, they could have ended the war in one swift stroke in the Battle of Kuat.

Answer: Nelani Dinn

In Lumiya's asteroid base, which is dubbed The Home, she told Jacen that the only way for him to stop the impending Second Galactic Civil War was to turn to the dark side. Lumiya did this as she dueled Jedi Knight Nelani Dinn. Jacen then had a vision in which he say that, if he allowed Nelani to take Lumiya away, the galaxy would fall into darkness. So he set Lumiya free and killed Nelani in combat, beginning his descent to the dark side of the Force.

Answer: Jacen Solo

After capturing her for wielding military-grade weapons, Jacen interrogated Ailyn in order to find out who his target was. Ailyn refused to speak, so he continually smacked her head into the interrogation table in order to get her to talk. She still didn't talk, so Jacen kept on smacking her until she died of head trauma.

In "Inferno", Darth Caedus used flow-walking on Tahiri Veila so she could see her long-lost love, Anakin Solo, just before he died during the Mission to Myrkr. This was a crucial step in Caedus's plans to get Tahiri to be his apprentice. He even tricked her into believing that if she just subtly affected what happened as they flow-walked, she could have changed some events, such as preventing Anakin's death itself; this never happened.

Answer: Operation Roundabout

In "Betrayal", the Galactic Alliance believed that, by sending one of their fleets into the Corellian system, they could coerce the Corellians into getting back in line as an Alliance member. The Corellians were prepared for this and engaged the Galactic Alliance in a battle that would force the latter government to take over the Corellian world of Tralus so that they could convince the Corellians to at least talk to them. Though this attempt worked, Lumiya foiled it so that Jacen could become a Sith Lord.

Answer: Aurra Sing

In "Tempest", Aurra's original mission was to cooperate with a group of assassins to neutralize Hapan Queen Mother Tenel Ka Djo. When that mission failed, Aurra was tasked with another assignment, to kill Tenel Ka's daughter, Allana. This mission failed as well thanks to the intervention of Jacen Solo.

When the Second Galactic Civil War began with Operation Roundabout in "Betrayal", one of the operation's goals was for Jedi Knights Jaina Solo and Zekk, assisted by Jedi apprentices Kolir Hu'lya and Thann Mithric, to kidnap Saxan. The purpose of this was to convince the Corellians to get back into line as part of the Galactic Alliance.

The operation failed, and Saxan was later killed as part of Lumiya's machinations.

Answer: Tsavong Lah

In "Tempest", when Jacen asked Lumiya why Vergere chose to train him to be a Sith Lord, Lumiya said that one of the many factors in Vergere's decision-making process was because of Jacen's defeat of Tsavong Lah, depicted in the "New Jedi Order" novel "Balance Point".

In the aftermath of that confrontation, Lah took his fascination with the Jedi to a whole new level of fanaticism, becoming one of their greatest enemies as he sought their ultimate destruction. As a result of this, Lah was a major antagonist throughout "The New Jedi Order" series who was finally killed in combat by Jaina Solo in one of the series' final novels, "Destiny's Way".

Answer: Salle Serpa

In "Inferno", Serpa was sensed by Jaina Solo to be a mildly unstable individual. His actions would be audacious enough that he would have no hesitation at killing himself if he was ordered to kill the Jedi by bringing the entire academy down upon them with a bomb. Serpa was last seen when both of his arms were cut off by Zekk when the Jedi decided to go against the occupation.

Karen Traviss's final novel in "Legacy of the Force" went out with a bang thanks to the epic battle of Fondor. The consequences of this battle included Imperial Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon's death and Galactic Alliance Admiral Cha Niathal defecting from her partnership with Darth Caedus. From that point on, Caedus became the sole ruler of the GA until the end of the following novel, "Invincible".

Answer: Fury

At the beginning of "Fury", Caedus kidnapped Allana, making her believe that she was one of her mother's babysitters. His reason for kidnapping her was so that he could blackmail Allana's mother, Tenel Ka Djo, to assure the Hapes Consortium's support in his Galactic Alliance. Allana caught on that Caedus was keeping her hostage, prompting him to reveal who he was to her.

Answer: Aayla Secura

Aayla Secura was a Jedi Knight of the Old Republic who fought in the Clone Wars. She was killed during Order 66 on the planet Felucia. Beforehand, over the course of this war, she had once worked with Jacen's grandfather, Anakin Skywalker.

Answer: Onimi

In a communication with Darth Caedus near the end of the novel, Han Solo said that he'd rather just blow him to atoms and pretend he died in the fight with Onimi. This event was depicted in "The New Jedi Order" novel, "The Unifying Force". Onimi had been the true ruler of the Yuuzhan Vong Empire whose death directly brought an end to the war against the invaders.

Answer: Jaina Solo, Jagged Fel, and Zekk

Jaina, Jag, and Zekk hunted Alema from the novels "Exile" to "Fury". Over the course of these novels, the love triangle between these characters had bloomed as Jag and Zekk pined for Jaina. In the end, Jag and Zekk made their peace with each other as Jag would be the one to earn Jaina's heart while Zekk would meet another woman named Taryn Zel in the series finale, "Invincible".

Answer: Jagged Fel

In "Fury", Jag delivered the killing stroke on Alema by braking her neck with a Mandalorian gauntlet. Before this happened, however, Alema used the Force to send images through his mind in order to remind him of who she was during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Jag promised that he would remember her as an honorable Jedi.

Answer: Tempest

At the beginning of "Tempest", Alema Rar attempted kill Jacen Solo with a poison dart, but she missed her target and the dart hit the World Brain. After the World Brain died later on, Jacen, unaware of his friend's actual killer, assigned the Galactic Alliance Guard to kill every suspected Bothan in the True Victory Party on Coruscant. Jacen targeted the Bothans because their vow of total war on the Yuuzhan Vong made them the prime suspects in the World Brain's murder, considering that the brain was a Vong creation.

Jacen and Mara fought brutally in a sewer beneath the planet Kavan before he killed her with a poison dart. Ben later recovered her mother's corpse on the world to use as evidence (obviously) to determine who was her killer. Many months later, he returned to the scene of the crime to gather up more substantial evidence in order to ultimately prove that it was Jacen, not Lumiya or Alema Rar, who killed her.

Answer: Onimi and Tsavong Lah

Onimi was first mentioned by Han Solo at the beginning of the novel. He said that his son, Jacen, had died when he killed Onimi and ended the Yuuzhan Vong War, and that Caedus was the person inhabiting the empty shell of Jacen's body. Tsavong Lah was indirectly mentioned in Jaina's internal monologue just before she killed Caedus when she remembered that Jacen was a good man who, among his many accomplishments, had defeated the Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster (though there were two Warmasters during that war: Lah was the first, and after he died, he was replaced by Nas Choka for the remainder of the conflict).

Answer: A Sith Meditation Sphere

On the planet Ziost, Ben uncovered an ancient sentient spacecraft called a Sith Meditation Sphere in "Exile", which appeared until "Fury". Ship transported Ben off Ziost so that he could return to the Galactic Alliance. Lumiya and Alema Rar would both use it until the latter's death.

Answer: Shedu Maad

Jaina fought Caedus aboard his Star Destroyer, the "Anakin Solo", just before she struck him down and ended his life. Before this, however, she refused to listen to his pleas for her to stop attacking him so that he could warn Tenel Ka through the Force that she and Allana were in danger.

In his final moments, Caedus was able to do this just in time so that while he died, his former lover and daughter wouldn't.

Answer: Natasi Daala

Although Daala may have been more of an unreasonable and genocidal tyrant than Caedus, apparently, she was chosen over him. So much for killing him for the good of the Galactic Alliance. And considering the following events in the sequel to "Legacy of the Force", "Fate of the Jedi", the question comes to mind as to how Daala even became Chief of State in the first place.

Answer: Amelia

In order to protect her from any further assassination attempts, Tenel Ka pretended that Allana died, gave her to Han and Leia, and she was renamed Amelia, the Solos' adopted daughter. Part of Amelia's disguise was dying her hair brunette and changing the color of her eyes. She was universally accepted as part of the Solo family.
