Answer: For the generator to be on

When Lori began to give birth, Alice asked that the generator be kept on at all times. Billy volunteered and asked Dale for help. The men discovered that there was less than half of a gallon left of gas for the generator, so Dale knew they would have to take some from the cars parked outside. Hershel helped Alice perform the birth, since he was most experienced with the process.

Answer: While siphoning gas

While Billy and Dale siphoned gas for the generator, a zombie crawled through the parking lot. It bit Dale in the back of his right leg. When he cried out, Billy panicked. Dale tripped and hit his head on a nearby car. Billy cried and ran away, crying that he was sorry. Dale woke up to find a zombie gnawing on his leg.

Answer: Someone had a leg chopped off

Maggie and Glenn had a lovely ceremony of marriage. Lori finally gave birth. Alice asked the more experienced shooters to collect a zombie to experiment on. Dale was attacked from behind and almost died. Rick was able to cut his leg off in time to stop the infection, with Alice's help. This was not the first time it happened- Allen also lost a leg earlier in the series.

Answer: Tyreese

After Dale lost his leg he was confined to being inside most of the time. He could only watch as Andrea helped Tyreese with his aiming skills. They also played basketball together. He grew increasingly jealous of their relationship. As it turned out, Andrea was simply creating a "peg leg" to stand on, with Tyreese's help.

Answer: Axel accidentally urinated on the road sign

Andrea, Glenn, Maggie, Tyreese, Axel, and Michonne traveled in the RV, searching for the National Guard Station. Axel announced that he had to use the bathroom, so he left and began to do his business. He heard a "ping" and saw a broken road sign on the ground. It said that the station was to the right, four miles away.

Answer: They blew it up

They reached the Station and took as many supplies as they could, including gas. They needed the gas for their own cars and the generator in the prison. After they took the supplies, they debated on whether they should destroy it or not. They ended up blowing it up to prevent the people from Woodbury from taking gas for themselves.

Answer: Wal-Mart

Maggie convinced Tyreese to stop of at the nearby Wal-Mart for supplies. Because Glenn had found a large army truck, they had extra room to store items. Maggie made sure to grab a cradle for Lori, as well as one for herself. She was contemplating on whether she would ever want to have a child with Glenn.

Answer: They were attacked by the Woodbury citizens

The people from Woodbury saw the National Guard Station in flames and knew that they had been attacked. Glenn pretended that he and his friends were innocent of the crime, but they did not fall for it. Glenn was shot directly in the chest, and a small battle ensued. Michonne nearly got shot to death, but survived. Maggie sobbed while holding Glenn, who wore the black riot suit.

It was because of the suit that he survived.

Answer: Judith

Lori wanted to name her new baby girl Judith. Carl kept referring to her as "it" because nobody knew the child's sex. Rick explained that they could say "her" now, and it was Carl's job to keep her safe. Alice, along with helping Lori give birth, also had to patch up Glenn's ribs and sew Dale's leg up.

Answer: 18

The survivors lost a member but also gained one. Lori gave birth to little Judith, making nineteen. Not long afterward, Carol finally gave up for good. She allowed a zombie to bite her, killing her almost instantly. She had tried to slit her wrists earlier but failed. Her depression finally caught up with her. That left 18 survivors at the end.
