Answer: Thermopylae

The pass of Thermopylae, or the "Hot Gates", was the only way to get to lower Greece. The battle took place in 480 B.C. when the Spartans held them off for three days. The narrow corridor, between the mountains and the sea, made it hard for the Persians to get by the well-trained Spartans.
5. What was the Spartan military formation, that Leonidas explained to the the Spartan deformed outcast?

7. The narrator told the story of Leonidas and the 300 Spartans right before they charged at the Battle of______________.

Answer: Plataea

Dilios says at the end of the movie "..on this land of Plataea...". To rouse up the troops he tells them the story of Leonidas and the 300 Spartans and boasts of their ability to hold off the mass of Persians at Thermopylae.
