Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Beatle is seen first in the film?

Answer: Ringo Starr

The first shot of a Beatle is a close-up of Ringo's hand. It prominently displays the ring he wears, which is the primary plot device of the film. It is sought by a religious cult. The cult cannot make their ritualistic human sacrifices unless the person being sacrificed is wearing the ring. The woman set to be sacrificed sent the ring to Ringo, and so our story begins.
2. Which song is the only one to be performed indoors, in a recording studio?

Answer: You're Going to Lose that Girl

Right after the boys finish recording a take, they receive complaints that there is a buzzing sound in the take. The song is played back to them, and they hear the sound, but no one can pin down where the sound is coming from. The viewer can see a saw cutting a hole around Ringo's drum set, and eventually, he and his drums fall through.

Despite what looks like certain doom for Ringo, he escapes with the help of Ahme, who urges him to flee. As an aside, "Help!" is performed indoors, but they boys appear to be performing, and there are no microphones. "I Need You" is performed outdoors in a kind of improvised studio. "Another Girl" is performed outside at the Bahamas.
3. Later on in the film, Ringo is kidnapped and placed into the trunk of a car. What color is it?

Answer: Pink

George runs and jumps onto the car to rescue Ringo. When the two scientists who have kidnapped him realize that George has hitched a ride, they attempt to throw him off, eventually hitting a tree. Algernon then has difficulty getting the car to start again, so George takes this time to loosen a tire on the car and free Ringo. The two are then able to give the scientists the slip.
4. The runway signalers use their signs to play what game?

Answer: Table Tennis

After assisting an airplane in taxiing about the runway, two signalers use their signs to play table tennis.
5. When Paul grows back to his normal size, what does he complain about?

Answer: Being sticky

"I'm all sticky," he says. He was accidentally shrunk by Ahme, who was attempting to shrink Ringo's finger, to finally coax the ring off his hand. While he was shrunk, Ringo's pursuers burst into The Beatles' home and started a ruckus. In the chaos, an orange drink was spilled onto Paul.
6. What song is used to trick Clang into thinking he is planting explosives below The Beatles' outdoors recording session?

Answer: She's a Woman

Ahme places a tape of the song in a nook in the hole where Clang plants the explosives. Not aware that it is a recording, Clang believes he has planted explosives just below the Beatles and will get them once and for all. The Beatles are in fact recording some distance away. Humorously, one box of explosives says that it contains one millionth the amount of explosives blown up in a week during World War II. "Ticket to Ride" is played while The Beatles are skiing. "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" is played to Ahme at The Beatles' flat. "Act Naturally" is not in the film, but it is on the "Help!" album (UK). Additionally, "She's a Woman" was released as a single and was not on the "Help!" album.
7. It serves as the primary residence for the British monarch, but it is not identified by name in the film. What is the real name of the "Well Known Palace" that The Beatles visit in London?

Answer: Buckingham Palace

Such dry wit runs through the whole film. Ringo and George play cards at Buckingham Palace while the four discuss the possibility of cutting off the finger that bears the troublesome ring. Needless to say, Ringo does not volunteer to do so.
8. The Beatles continue their run from the cult at the Bahamas. Just prior, Clang had moved the sacrificial area to the Bahamas for convenience. What object serves as the concealed entrance to the new location?

Answer: A rock

"Open that rock!" exclaim the boys' pursuers. Ahme shows them the sacrificial table and its secret exit through a swimming pool. This buys The Beatles some time and allows them to continue their flight.
9. "Help!" is played at both near the beginning of the film and near the end.

Answer: True

In the beginning, a video of The Beatles performing "Help!" is played before Clang, who throws darts at the screen. The song is also played near the end during the chaos and fighting that ensues.
10. When Ringo finally frees the ring from his finger, whose finger does he put it on?

Answer: Clang's

He then tells Clang to get sacrificed. Naturally, Clang proceeds to have trouble removing the ring, fighting ensues, and the movie draws to a close.
