The writers of the movie were David Spade and Fred Wolf. They have been good friends ever since Fred helped David get into Improv, which led to a spot on "Saturday Night Live". Sam Weisman also directed these movies: "The Mighty Ducks 2", "George Of The Jungle", "Bye Bye Love", "The Out-of-Towners", "What's The Worst That Can Happen?", and many tv series.

Answer: True

Dickie says that Sidney is his best friend and buddy in the whole world.

He does get the part, but when he's on the plane, two flight attendants come up to him and ask him to explain the movie to them. He explains it, and then finally understands it. That's when he realises that becoming famous again isn't what's going to make him happy. So he goes back to the Finny residence and lives with the family. Later, they find out that George and Cindy ran away together.

After that, Grace and Dickie get married and the new happy family starts its own sitcom. (Even the kids have jobs: Sam write jokes for the show and Sally is the choreographer.)
