Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Corey did the voice of young Copper in "The Fox and the Hound"?

Answer: Corey Feldman

Corey Feldman was the voice of young Copper. Corey Haim was Feldman's co-star of the 80s when the two of them became super-popular. Corey Hart was just another actor. Corey Bringas did the voice of Tails in Sonic Adventure.

"The Fox and the Hound" told the story of Tod (fox) and Copper (hound) and how they became fast friends, unaware of the fact that they were supposed to be enemies. As the movie progressed, they grew apart and in the end, their loyalties and priorities were tested.
2. What were the names of the two dogs in "The Sword in the Stone"?

Answer: Tiger and Talbot

In "The Sword in the Stone", when Arthur came back to the castle after meeting Merlin, he was greeted by two large dogs. Sir Ector then pulled them off of him and yelled "Tiger! Talbot! Off with ya!"

"The Sword in the Stone" told the story of Merlin and how he educated pre-king Arthur. Merlin changed the boy into different animals so he could learn from those animals' perspectives. At the end, Arthur pulled the Sword from the Stone, thereby becoming king.
3. How did Pongo describe the night on which Perdita had her puppies?

Answer: wild and stormy

In "101 Dalmatians", Pongo managed to win Perdita over when he "introduced" his and her pet to each other. Roger and Anita married and then Perdita gave birth to her pups. Pongo did say that the puppies arrived one wild and stormy night in October. The happy family was soon torn apart, when Cruella DeVil's henchmen, Horace and Jasper, stole the puppies for Cruella to turn into coats!
4. Was Mulan right- or left-handed?

Answer: left

In the beginning, when Mulan was writing notes on her arm, she was writing with her left hand. Mulan did this so she wouldn't forget everything she had to say and do in front of the Matchmaker. When her meeting with the Matchmaker went all wrong, Mulan wondered if she would ever bring her family honor.

When her father was drafted, Mulan forgot being ladylike, donned her father's armor and took his place in the army to save his life.
5. Which swimming character said "Oh, you big bug-eyed bully, you!"?

Answer: Arthur

In "The Sword in the Stone", Merlin turned himself and Arthur into fish. While they were swimming, a frog bit onto Arthur's tail, and when he yanked himself free, he said "Oh, you big bug-eyed bully, you!"
In "The Little Mermaid", Flounder said to a shark "You big bully!" and Ariel never said anything of the sort.
In "Pinocchio", Monstro was a swimming character, but he never spoke.

Merlin turned Arthur into various animals to teach him lessons about life. The more Arthur learned, the more potential he gained. By the end of the movie, he became king! You can't get more successful than that!
6. In "The Great Mouse Detective", we were introduced to Basil of Baker Street. What color were Basil's eyes?

Answer: green

Basil was enlisted by Olivia Flaversham to find her missing father. Basil was a bit distracted from the people around him, but he did manage to track down Ratigan. However, before he took Ratigan down, Basil and Dawson got trapped by the villainous rat.
For most of the movie, Basil's eyes were just black dots. But in the scene where he and Dawson escaped from the trap, he laughed crazily and we saw that his eyes were in fact green.
7. Disney's 2007 movie, "Enchanted", introduced us to Giselle. She was the first animated Disney heroine with red hair since which character?

Answer: Captain Amelia

Giselle was the first animated heroine with red hair since Captain Amelia from "Treasure Planet".

Giselle went from being animated in Andalasia, to live-action in New York City. While she was in New York, she pined for her prince, but by the time he showed up, she had already fallen in love with Robert. The movie showed the contrast between innocent, fairy-tale love, and realistic, challenging relationships. But, like any Disney movie, it had a happy ending for all its good characters.
8. In "Sleeping Beauty", Aurora pricked her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. Which finger did she prick?

Answer: her middle finger

In the beginning of "Sleeping Beauty", Maleficent put a curse on Aurora, prophesying that before the sun set on her sixteenth birthday, she would prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, and die. While that did in fact happen, Merryweather had changed the curse to have Aurora only go to sleep should she prick her finger.

When Maleficent lured Aurora up to the tower, she told her to touch the spindle, and Aurora did...with her middle finger.
9. In "Bambi", after Bambi successfully said the word 'bird,' he repeated it a bunch of times. How many times did he repeat it?

Answer: 6

Bambi said the word "BIRD!" and Thumper and his sisters were very impressed. Then, feeling rather proud of himself, Bambi pranced around and went, "Bird, bird, bird, bird, bird, bird!"

Bambi told the story of the young prince, Bambi, and how he grew from innocent fawn to fully-experienced forest protector.
10. In "The Sword in the Stone", what did Merlin say was the greatest force on Earth?

Answer: love

In "The Sword in the Stone", Merlin became the tutor of the young Arthur, who would become king. Throughout the movie, he changed Arthur into different animals, to help teach him lessons about life. When Arthur became a squirrel, he had to fend off an overly-friendly female squirrel, who was very disappointed when she discovered that he was actually a human. She was heartbroken, because she was in love with him, and they could never be together.

It was after this that Merlin said "That love business is a powerful thing." Arthur said "Greater than gravity?" and Merlin said "Yes, I'd say it's the greatest force on Earth."
