Martin is Martin Scorsese, who suffered asthma in his childhood.

Spoofing Yoda, he talks in the character's archaic fashion. Patrick Kerr is a USC Film School alumni, as are almost all the cast and crew, by the way. And the tea in the ladle is actually Coke held over a dish of dry ice!

The fencers (the duel between Luke and Vader), the fat guy and his girl (Jabba the Hutt and his slave girl) and the tall guy and the dwarf (Hey, I DON'T have to tell you, do I?) all refer to the "Star Wars" films. There's also a folk group spoofing the cantina band (Dan Shere, the film's co-writer, played the panpipes).

Lisa Jakub, who's starred in "Independence Day" among other films, plays Marion (named for Indy Jones' girl in "Raiders Of the Lost Ark"), a student who's involved in a "rebellion" (!). Her hair buns, spoofing Leia, took almost a hundred bobby pins to put on, and her shirt belonged to the film's costume designer, Shoshanna Ruben! I think she's way prettier than the original!
