John also tells him that the ballgame on the radio is scaring the fish away.

In the credits, it says that the entire film was shot in Minnesota.

It was originally Max and John's idea. Of course, Melanie isn't really thrilled about having her wedding reception in a bar.

That was just too, too funny! I liked it when Max said, "Unleash the beast" when they were putting the guinea pig in the restaurant. When Maria found out about what happened, she dumped spaghetti sauce on Max and John's heads. To which Max says to John, "Should we ask her for some garlic bread?"

He has bacon for breakfast and lunch and he usually drinks his dinner. John hounded his dad for not getting the low-fat bacon.

It was a video of Ariel doing a sculpture of John in the nude and Max just so happened to be taping it on his camcorder at the time. Later in the film, he takes it to Sears or whatever, goes to the audio/visual section and puts the tape in one of the VCRs. Needless to say, everyone saw John in the buff and started clapping and poor John was embarrassed. This scene was too funny!

Well, this isn't after John asks Max to stay at his place. He complains that he's cold so Max gives him a box of matches, saying, "Here's some matches. Set yourself on fire."

That's why she was reluctant to continue dating him. They married eventually.

They decide to let the fish go to be with Pop, who tried for years to catch the fish. Pop dies in the movie and his ashes are scattered in the lake with Catfish Hunter. While watching the movie in the theater, my dad cried during Pop's death (which reminded him of his mom who died a month earlier).
