Made on a low budget it became one of the most influential horror films of all time. Tobe Hooper died on August 26th, 2017 aged 74 years.

After being chased by police into a toy shop he uses a Voodoo chant to transfer his soul into a Good Guy Doll. Incidentally, there is a doll called Robert who was the inspiration for the Chucky character and it is said to be very haunted.

The doll belonged to Robert Eugene Otto and can be seen in Key West Martello Museum in Florida.

Carrie has telekinesis, the ability to move objects through mind power. Sissy Spacek gives a good performance playing the troubled teen even though she was in fact in her late 20s when making the movie.
