Boris Karloff was born William Henry Pratt in London, 1887. He was best remembered for his role as the monster in 'Frankenstein' (1931), 'Bride of Frankenstein' (1935) and 'Son of Frankenstein' (1939). In the film 'The Mummy', an archaeologist accidently read out a spell which awakened Imhotep from his slumber.

After escaping, Imhotep searched Cairo looking for a human sacrifice to resurrect his ancient lover, Princess Ankh-es-en-amon.
