The song: "American Life" off of the album "American Life." This was released in 2003 and is the most recent purchase of all the CDs I used for this quiz. The video had anti-war sentiments relating to the U.S. involvement with Iraq and was banned in the U.S. A modified version was later released.

Answer: Pearl Jam

The song: "Jeremy". This is off the album, "Ten" and fronted by singer, Eddie Vedder. This song is eerily similar to the incident at Columbine High School, except for the fact that "Jeremy" only turned the gun on himself. Pearl Jam was one of the biggest pioneers of Seattle grunge in the early 1990's.
16. "I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine. We talked until two and then she said, 'It's time for bed.' She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh. I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath."

Answer: Peter Gabriel

The song: "In Your Eyes". This is off of Peter Gabriel's solo album, "So", but is best remembered from the soundtrack of the movie, "Say Anything." One of my all-time favorite scenes from any movie is when John Cusack was trying to win back Iona Skye and held up a radio blasting "In Your Eyes" under her window.
20. "Is it my turn to wish you were lying here? I tend to dream you when I'm not sleeping. Is it my turn to fictionalize my world? Or even imagine your emotions to tell myself anything..."

Answer: PM Dawn

The song: "I'd Die Without You". This was from their album called "The Bliss Album". It is a great song about breaking up and regret. I bought the CD as soon as this came out but didn't care for any of the other tracks.

Answer: U2

The song: "One". This is off one of the best selling albums in history, "Achtung, Baby". Metallica also released a song called "One" but the content is somewhat different ;) "One" embodies many of my spiritual beliefs.
24. "If we could take the time, to lay it on the line, I could rest my head, Just knowin' that you were mine, All mine!"

Answer: Guns 'N Roses

The song: "November Rain." This was off the album, "Use Your Illusion". Guns 'N Roses is best remembered for their front man, Axl Rose going off the deep end at concerts, but this was a particularly deep and operatic song that shows Axl and the band at their best in my opinion.
25. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one."
