Answer: Shirley

Olympia and Charmaine were the groups' two older sisters. At times, they didn't perform with the group. Ricky was a regular member. Shirley, their mother, is a former opera singer. The other members were Patricia (Pat), Angelia (Angie), Leon Frank III, James, Foster, and Edmund. By the way, they started as "The Little Angels."
2. Where was the family born and raised?

Answer: Memphis, TN

The Sylvers hail from Memphis. Later, however, they moved to Harlem, New York for more musical opportunities.
3. What major recording label was the group signed to at the height of their success--mid 1970's?

Answer: Capitol

During their most successful period, the Sylvers were signed with Capitol Records. Their LP releases included their debut, "Showcase", and the follow-up, "Something Special."
