Scott Ian (guitarist) was in science class and they were going over a chapter on diseases. The class got to the part dealing with Anthrax and Scott liked how it sounded hard, so the guys took the name.

"Make Me Laugh" was written about televangelists that are only in the ministry for the money and discusses all the wrongdoings of crooked evangelists. It's actually quite funny. It is off the album "State of Euphoria".

"Who Cares Wins" is written about homeless people and how other people just turn a deaf ear and a cold shoulder to the homeless and act like they're not there when they pass by them. The song wants you to wake up to the problem of homelessness and to quit ignoring it. It is on the album "State of Euphoria".

That lyric is from the song "Finale", off the album "State of Euphoria". It is dealing with a man hating his wife and hating to go home...marital problems.

Neil Turbin was the original lead singer of Anthrax until he was replaced by Joey Belladonna in the early 1980's.

"Got the Time" was originally recorded by Joe Jackson. Anthrax remade it and put it on the album "Persistence of Time", released in 1990.

"Attack of the Killer B's" was released in 1991. It had the hit song "Bring the Noise" on it with Public Enemy, and the original Headbangers Ball theme song, "Chromatic Death".

"Bring the Noise" was originally recorded by Public Enemy on one of their earlier albums. It has a lyric in it pertaining to Anthrax, ("Wax is for Anthrax, still it can rock bells ever forever"). Anthrax liked that so they contacted Public Enemy and got together with them and remade the song with a little more hardness to it.

It was released on the album "Attack of the Killer B's". They also made a video for this song.

Answer: S.O.D

Not Milk, but that is one of the songs that "S.O.D" did. Charlie, Scott, Dan, and Billy started "Stormtroopers of Death", and released the album, "Speak English or Die". This is a very hardcore album! If memory serves correct, S.O.D. was actually formed as a joke.

While Anthrax was on a sort of hiatus status, Charlie and some other fellow musician friends went into the studio and layed some tracks down.

"I'm the Man" was the first rap Anthrax did. It was released on an E.P. they put out early on in their career and it did very well. The guys remade this song in 1991 and renamed it "I'm the Man '91". The remix was recorded on "Attack of the Killer B's" and it has more of a preprogrammed sound than the original did.

"Sound of White Noise" was released in 1993. Critics gave it fairly good reveiws. I was impressed with it; John has a good voice and it matches well with the music of Anthrax.

"Black Lodge", off the album "Sound of White Noise", deals with drug abuse/overdose. The lyrics in this song are very deep and moving. It is one of my favorite songs by the band. Even the music has a eerie sound to it that is very addictive.

I do not know the exact reason why Dan left the band, but I believe I read something about him wanting to spend more time with his family. Dan left Anthrax sometime in the mid-1990's. To me, Dan was the quiet family type, which supports what I read.

"Volume 8 - The Threat is Real" was released in 1998 and had some really good songs on it. If memory serves correct, this is the first album without guitarist Dan Spitz on it. "Inside Out" is a video they made from this album- very good song.

Anthrax made a third record label change in 1998 to Ignition Records. "The Threat is Real" was released on that label. Before that album, I had never heard of Ignition Records, but the album does rock...of course, it's Anthrax.

Joey is an American Indian. Anthrax even wrote a song about the pride Joey has and how they feel Indians have been mistreated for way too long. The song is called "Indians", and is off the album "Among the Living". Great song, very deep lyrics.

Frank Bello plays bass guitar. He is an excellent bass player! He also has a very good voice. He sings a song on the album "The Threat is Real". It's a hidden track at the end of the album. It's about 3 minutes after the last song, "Stealing From a Thief", goes off. I believe Charlie (drummer) plays acoustic guitar on it too. Check it out if you can.
