MBL's first major show was part of the Orlando Music Awards at the Sapphire Supper Club in October 1999. That same weekend, Hurricane Irene was skirting up the East Coast of Florida. A lot of rain and wind tore through Orlando that day. Luckily, the pomade in their hair held up!
15. MBL wrote the theme song to a motion picture.

The instrumental "Backseat" was written as the theme to a movie of the same name. However, the film was not completed and the soundtrack was never released.
