Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "...and I thought of all the bad luck, the struggles we went through, how I lost me and you lost you..." This is an excerpt from what Don Henley song?

Answer: Heart Of The Matter

From his "End Of The Innocence" LP which included a variety of music and guests. Axle Rose helped on "How Bad Do You Want It?", Bruce Hornsby also collaborated on the LP.
2. "You say you broke up with him and your heart's still on the shelf. It's been over two years for me and I'm still not quite my self." What song is this line from?

Answer: Last Worthless Evening

I tried to trip you up but you're smarter than that, aren't you? For those of you that I did trip up, this is also a Don Henley song from "The End Of The Innocence". When the Eagles all went their seperate ways back in the day, this solo effort was a defining moment for Don Henley as a solo artist.
3. " Well it's no big sin to stick your two cents in if you know when to leave it alone." Name that tune from Billy Joel, if you will.

Answer: Big Shot

One of the Big Apple's favorite sons, Billy Joel. He has fifteen LP's to his credit.(but feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken)
4. (Yes, you know me, I just HAVE to include Rush in my quiz.)" All of the seasons and all of the days, all of the reasons why I've felt this way." This tune is from their "2112" LP.

Answer: Tears

Well, this is a relatively easy quiz so I had to throw one in from Rush.(hey, if nothing else, you'll get better at Rush trivia) If you've ever listened to this LP, you know this nice, slow song thats kind of "unRush", if you will.
5. " Jack, relax, get busy with the facts, no zodiacs or almanacs..." This is from Rush also and this part of the song in question is borderline "rap" as far as that goes.

Answer: Roll The Bones

Title track from the 1991 release, "Roll The Bones", and if you've ever heard this you know what I'm talking about. If not, give it a try.
6. The song "Blinded By The Light" made famous by Manfred Mann, was actually written and performed by this legend.

Answer: Bruce Springsteen

Yup, this classic tune was penned by the Boss and I've heard his version of it once, (and that was enough). Manfred definitely did the song justice.
7. "Now you talkin' jive, baby, when you say to me your Daddy's gonna take us in, take care of me.You know and I know..." finish this line and you'll also name the song by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Answer: I Ain't The One

Great song. My favorite version of this song is from "One More From The Road"
8. "Walking on Gucci, wearing Yves St. Laurent, they don't stay on me long because I'm so gaunt." This line is from an Aerosmith tune.(the earlier stuff)

Answer: Combination

From the bluesy, all American Rock and Roll LP, "Rocks". Aptly named. This is one of the best Aerosmith releases.(in my humble opinion)
9. "Those summer nights I do remember in my youth, I do recall those were the best times most of all." This one is from Journey.

Answer: Stone In Love

Great tune from the boys by the Bay, and nice guitar work from Neal Schon. From the LP "Escape" released in 1981.
10. "Well he makes you so angry, he makes you so sore. The weight may be worth it but how can you wait anymore." This is from an REO tune.

Answer: Don't Let Him Go

From the smash "Hi Infidelity" (1980) This was REO's top selling LP at the time and probably still is.
