Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What song are these lyrics from: "I already knew blue-eyed girl would be halfway around the world"?

Answer: Immigration Song

Not to be mistaken for "Immigration Song", by Led Zeppelin. This was on the "Double Donkey" album.
2. What song are these lyrics from: "The world we live in is so interesting. A girl can make a grown man cry and make another man sing"?

Answer: Come Home, Andrea

Written for one of the band member's sisters. This is from "Spending Time on the Borderline".
3. What song are these lyrics from: "I've been trying to set this straight for so long, trying to hammer out what's bent. You trust in my intent. You must be Heaven-sent."?

Answer: Utsukushii Shibuya

One of their best songs, the Japanese version of this song is even more popular. "Utsukushii Shibuya" in Japanese means "Beautiful Shibuya", with Shibuya being a district of a city in Japan.
4. What song are these lyrics from: "I guess I'm over you. And I guess that you don't give a damn."?

Answer: Iceland

"Iceland" was on "Songs of Inaudible Trucks and Cars", Ozma's debut album. This song is also often mistaken to be Weezer's.
5. What song are these lyrics from: "Sing the song you sang long ago. A heartbeat so sure and slow. Hold me and don't let go."?

Answer: Domino Effect

This song is generally more popular as the first half of a two-song package, immediately followed by "Apple Tree". This is the first track of "Rock and Roll, Part III".
6. What song are these lyrics from: "Deep inside my eye, there is part of you. You still look the same, except you're grown-up now. So much time has passed since I saw you last."?

Answer: Apple Trees

Five times ten times ten again is 500. Immediately following "Domino Effect", this is the second track on "Rock and Roll, Part III".
7. What song are these lyrics from: "I'm telling you a story now of something that's wrong. This has been developing since 1981."?

Answer: Natalie Portman

1981 was the year Portman was born. Natalie Portman fans actually hate this song, taking it as a slight against the actress, instead of what it was written to be.
8. What song are these lyrics from: "And when I finally wash ashore, I'm coming back to kiss the girl I kissed before. Before the shooting stars I knew I never fell for anyone but you."?

Answer: Battle Scars

This is arguably considered their best song by many fans. The recurring baseline that dominates this song is fantastic, very similar to "Only in Dreams", by Weezer. The guitar in this song represents his heart, as well as his rifle, as he is fighting in a war.
9. What song are these lyrics from: "I wanna make a motion to stop the commotion. I second the motion to stop the commotion. I've got another notion. It's a backwards motion."?

Answer: In Search of 1988

The song references Super Mario many times. It is generally followed immediately by "Last Dance".
10. What song are these lyrics from: "Say hello to your last chance, same as your first chance. A kinder reminder from Ozma. Say hello to the new sound. Same as the old sound. So spin it. Get in it, and stay."?

Answer: Last Dance

This song has a 60s sound to it, a la "Blue Moon". This is from "Rock and Roll, Part III."
11. What song are these lyrics from: "Slowly the edge gets closer to you. You've got the most space with the greatest of views. You paid off the debt you owed to your heart. You've paid off your debt, now go and restart!"?

Answer: Restart

This is the most inspirational song I've ever heard, and sadly, the most underrated. This is the eleventh track of "Spending Time on the Borderline".
12. What song are these lyrics from: "Right coast, wrong coast, drifting round and round. I'm lost, always, and I know I can't be found."?

Answer: Continental Drift

This may be their most famous song. This is the last track on the "Double Donkey" album.
13. What song are these lyrics from: "Down in the depths of my heart there is regret and remorse. But let's not beat a dead horse 'cause the past cannot be changed"?

Answer: Curve in the Old 1-9

Ozma wrote this song about a guy who was in the middle of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. In this song, he is worried and wants his girlfriend to be ok.
14. What song are these lyrics from: "So we play our games. I've got a girlfriend- you've found a new guy. But it's not the same. And so I drive straight up I-5 to let you know I'm still alive."?

Answer: Baseball

This is definitely one of the fan favorites, and often mislabeled as Weezer's. It's about a boy and girl who grow up as childhood sweethearts, then go their own ways upon entering adulthood.
15. What song are these lyrics from: "Come back to kiss my dear; come back to face my fears; it can't be worse than war"?

Answer: Shooting Stars

This is about a Russian soldier who goes off to war, comes back home, and finds that the love of his life has moved on. "Battle Scars" is basically the second part to this song.
