"Light My Fire" (1967) is the best-selling hit by the great early rock band, The Doors. They sang this song on the "Ed Sullivan Show" the same year and were banned from ever returning to the show when they did not change the line "girl, we couldn't get much higher". Ed Sullivan was so upset with the band that he did not shake their hands.

The song was written by the band guitarist Robby Krieger even though it is often credited to the whole band.
