Answer: Virginia

Adeline Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) was raised in a literary household along with several siblings and half-siblings. She was educated at home so was constantly surrounded by writers. From her early life and on into her marriage, she suffered bouts of mental illness that may well have been a bi-polar disorder.

Her final note to her husband said that she thought that she was going mad again and could not face it. She said that their marriage had been so happy and she did not think she could recover her health, so she was taking what she thought was the best course of action.
