1. Blueberry Hill

Answer: Fats Domino

Antoine Dominique "Fats" Domino Jr. was born in 1928 in New Orleans. From a young age he showed a talent for the piano and soon found himself playing for the Solid Senders.
He went on to solo success especially with his signature tunes "Blueberry Hill" and "Ain't That a Shame".
His death on October 24, 2017 at his Louisiana home was attributed to natural causes. He was 89.
2. I Won't Back Down

Answer: Tom Petty

Thomas Earl Petty was born in 1950 in Gainesville. He started in multiple bands but would eventually form The Heartbreakers, who he performed with until his death.
The band would go on to have many well-known songs including "American Girl', "Free Fallin'" and "Into The Great Wide Open"
He would later form part of the Travelling Wilburys.
Petty died in his Santa Monica home on October 2, 2017 due to cardiac arrest brought on by accidental pain killer overdose.
3. Somewhere I Belong

Answer: Chester Bennington

Chester Charles Bennington was born in 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona.
He had a keen interest in music and performed in the band Grey Daze, until he auditioned for Xero, which would become Linkin Park.
The band was a huge success and would have hits with tracks like "Numb", "Crawling" and "In The End".
He was found at his Palos Verdes Estate by his housekeeper on 20 July 20 2017, and was pronounced dead due to suicide by hanging.
4. Fell On Black Days

Answer: Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell was born Christopher John Boyle on July 20, 1964 in Seattle, Washington. He formed Soundgarden in 1984 but it wasn't until the early nineties that found commercial success as grunge hit the mainstream, with tracks like "Spoonman" and "Black Hole Sun" charting.
Cornell fronted a number of other bands, notably Audioslave and Temple of the Dog, to go along with his solo career and many collaborations.
Sadly, he was found on May 18, 2017 in his hotel room after a concert, where he was found to have died by hanging.
5. You Never Can Tell

Answer: Chuck Berry

Charles Edward Anderson Berry was born on October 18, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was always interested in music and showed a talent for the guitar, until a chance meeting with Muddy Waters launched his career after recording "Maybellene."
Hits like "Johnny B. Goode" and "No Particular Place To Go" followed, but he was also troubled and served several years in reform school and prison.
Berry continued making music until late in his life, with his final album released just after his death on March 18, 2017 at the age of 90.
6. Rhinestone Cowboy

Answer: Glen Campbell

Glen Travis Campbell was born on April 22, 1936 in Billstown, Arkansas. He started out playing whatever gigs he could get and would eventually become a session musician, leading to his starting a solo career.
Hits like "Gentle on my Mind" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" followed, and he continued making music even after his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
In 2010 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, which would eventually lead to his demise on August 8, 2017 at the age of 81.
7. I Think I Love You

Answer: David Cassidy

David Bruce Cassidy was born on April 12, 1950 in New York.
Starting out as an actor on Broadway in 1969, Cassidy soon became a singing sensation even as he starred in the successful TV series "The Partridge Family".
He continued to be a successful actor but also released hits like "How Can I Be Sure" and "Daydreamer".
He continued to tour until 2017 when he was diagnosed with dementia, but ultimately succumbed to liver failure on November 21, 2017, at the age of 67.
8. You Shook Me All Night Long

Answer: Malcolm Young

Malcolm Mitchell Young was born on 6 January 1953 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was ten years old when his family emigrated to Australia, where he would form AC/DC with his brother Angus in 1973.
The band became a massive success as hard rock bands started making headway in the 1970's, and tracks like "Back in Black", "Highway to Hell" and later "Thunderstruck" gained huge popularity. Young was regarded as one of the finest rhythm guitarists of his generation by many fellow musicians and helped shape the sound of AC/DC.
The band continued touring throughout the new millennium, but Malcolm suffered from several health problems including lung cancer and cardiac issues. He eventually died of dementia on 18 November 2017 at the age of 64.
9. Centrefold

Answer: J Geils

John Warren Geils Jr. was born on February 20, 1946 in New York City. He started his career as a jazz trumpeter but settled on the electric guitar, forming the J Geils Blues Band in the process.
The band eventually changed the name to the J. Geils Band and a number of successful tracks like "Freeze Frame" and the number one hit "Centrefold" was created.
Geils left the music scene when the band broke up in 1985, and would only appear from time to time.
On April 11, 2017 he was found dead at his home. Natural causes was the only cause released by the coroner's office.
10. We Are Family

Answer: Joni Sledge

Joan Elise Sledge was born in 1956 in Philadelphia. In 1971 she formed the group Sister Sledge with her sisters Debbie, Kim and Kathy, and went on to have success during the disco era, especially with the release of their number two Billboard single "We Are Family", which also earned them a Grammy nomination.
She unfortunately died on March 10, 2017 from what has only been described as natural causes.
