1. In the first 100 years of the Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins franchise, how many times did they win 100+ games in a season?

Answer: 1

The only time in the entire century this happened was in 1965 when they went 102-60 under manager Sam Mele. They were led by the bat of Harmon Killebrew and the arm of Jim Kaat. However, they would lose the World Series to the Dodgers.
2. I was the first pitcher in history to lose my perfect game with two outs in the ninth inning. Who am I?

Answer: George Wiltse

Wiltse of the Giants pitched a ten-inning game on July 4, 1908. He lost his bid for perfection when he hit Phillies' pitcher George McQuillan with a pitch in the ninth with two outs. The Giants won 1-0 in 10 innings.
3. Which of the following pitchers set a record for hitting 41 batters in a season?

Answer: Joe McGinnity

McGinnity beaned 41 unsuspecting batters in 1900 while pitching for the Brooklyn Superbas. They still won the NL pennant.
4. Which of the following hit over .400 in three different World Series?

Answer: Eddie Collins

They others listed never did it. Collins did this three times. He did it in 1910 and 1913 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and then again in 1917 with the White Sox. Collins appeared in six World Series from 1906 to 1928.
5. Which of the following won a Manager of the Year Award in both the American and National League?

Answer: Bobby Cox

Cox was the only manager to win the title in both leagues during the entire 20th century, then Tony LaRussa did it in 2002. Cox's first was in 1985 with Toronto and another in 1991 with the Braves. Piniella won two in the American League in 1995 and 2001 with Seattle. Sparky won two with Detroit in 1984 and 1987. Lasorda won the first NL Manager of the Year award in 1983, then again in 1988 with the Dodgers.

Answer: Ken Boyer

Northey of the Cubs was the first ever to do this in 1950, followed by McCovey and then Reese.
7. What player spoiled Dodger Sandy Koufax's perfect game in 1964, ending up in a no-hitter?

Answer: Richie Allen

On June 4th, 1964, against the Phillies, Koufax walked Allen on a full-count pitch in the fourth inning. Allen was then thrown out trying to steal second base. Koufax still faced 27 batters and ended up with a no-hitter.
8. Which of the following catchers caught four no-hitters in their career?

Answer: Ray Schalk

Schalk caught four no-hitters with the last one being Charlie Robertson's perfect game in 1922 with the White Sox. He played 17 seasons with Chicago, and his final season with the Giants in 1929.
9. Which of the following set a World Series record for striking out 13 batters in one game?

Answer: Howard Ehmke

A pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics, and one season before he retired in 1930, Ehmke struck out 13 Chicago Cubs in game one. He only appeared in one other game in the Series. The Athletics defeated the Cubs, four games to one.
10. Which pitcher had the honor of throwing the very first pitch in National League history in 1876?

Answer: Alonzo Knight

In the inaugural day of the National League, all games were rained out except for one game on April 22, 1876. This game was played in Philadelphia. The Athletics' Knight threw the first pitch in National League history against the Hartford Dark Blues. The Athletics lost the game and finished 34.5 games back to the league winners, Chicago White Stockings.
