Answer: Kansas City Royals

With a win against the Indians on April 12th, the Royals became the first team to begin a season 9-0 since the 1990 Cincinnati Reds.
2. I pitched for 21 years, retiring in 1965. I won the Cy Young in 1957, when the Award was only given to one pitcher in the Major Leagues. I was a 14-time All-Star. I also won 20 games or more in a season 13 times. Who am I?

Answer: Warren Spahn

After appearing in 4 games in his first season in 1942, Warren lost 3 seasons to World War II. He came back in 1946 with the Braves again, and stayed with them until 1964. His final season was shared in 1965 between the Mets and the Giants. He won 363 games in his career. The other pitchers listed, retired well before the 1950 season.
3. What team played for 37 years at Bennett Park and Navin Field?

Answer: Detroit Tigers

The Tiger franchise began in 1901 in the American League, which is when the American League started also. They played at Bennett until 1912, then Navin Field until 1937, when they moved to Tiger Stadium in 1938. The Tigers reached 2,000,000 fans for the first time in history in 1968, when they won the World Series.

Henry Louis Gehrig, also known as Ludwig Heinrich Gehrig, was born in New York, New York, on June 19, 1903, the year of the first World Series. His stats are more than baseball itself, and he retired in 1939, two years before his death.

He retired with 452 home runs.

World Series in 1930 against the Cardinals, which was their 2nd World Series victory in a row. The team was managed by the infamous Connie Mack. The 1930 team was rostered with the greats of Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Cochrane, Jimmy Dykes, along with the pitching arms of Lefty Grove and Bill Shores.
