The family moved to the United States in 1992. Nastia Liukin won gold in the all around competition; silver in the team competition on the balance beam and the uneven bars; and bronze on the floor.

Answer: BMX Motocross

Mountain bike was new in 1996, triathlon and taekwondo in 2000. Maris Strombergs of Latvia won the men's gold in BMX, Anne-Caroline Chausson of France the women's.

He attacked early, and his advantage just kept growing to over a minute. Péraud, another Frenchman finished second; Christoph Sauser of Switzerland third. Absalon had also won four world titles.
