Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the Cleveland Cavaliers motto for the 2007 Playoffs?

Answer: Rise Up!

Everyone was hoping for the Cavs, after the 2006 Playoffs, to take the next step. In order to do that, the Cavaliers had to 'Rise Up'. They certainly did as they made it the NBA Finals for the first time in team history.
2. In what game did LeBron James sprain his ankle?

Answer: Game 1 vs Washington

He sprained his ankle in the very first game of the playoffs, much to the worry of all Cleveland fans. However, he got up and continued to play. The Cavs would go on to win the game and the series.
3. In Game 1 of the New Jersey series, what Nets player was chased down from behind and had his shot blocked by Sasha Pavlovic, late in the game and the game was very close at the time?

Answer: Jason Kidd

Pavlovic secured what was a very slim lead at the time with that block of Kidd. It is probably one of the most memorable plays of these playoffs for Cavs fans. The final score was 81-77, in favor of the Cavaliers.
4. How many games did it take for the Cavs to eliminate the Nets in the second round?

Answer: 6

The Cavs eliminated the Nets in six games. They won games 1, 2, 4, and 6 of the series.
5. Antonio McDyess was ejected in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals for clothes-lining a Cleveland player to the floor. Who was the player he clothes-lined?

Answer: Anderson Varejao

This happened in the first quarter of the game. McDyess was given a flagrant foul, which meant an automatic ejection from the game. This really hurt Detroit as McDyess was Detroit's best player off the bench.
6. Both Game 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals ended with the same exact score. Both were won by Detroit. What was the score?

Answer: 79-76

Both games ended in dramatic fashion. Game 1 ended on a controversial play and game 2 ended with many Cavs fans and players thinking a foul should of been called.
7. In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James passed up on what could have been a game tying layup with 5.9 seconds left to play in the game. To whom did he pass the ball?

Answer: Donyell Marshall

Marshall missed a wide open 3-pointer that would have given the Cavs the lead and perhaps the victory with just seconds left. The Cavs lost the game, 79-76.
8. LeBron James 48-point performance against the Detroit Pistons in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals was perhaps one of greatest playoff moments ever. How many points in a row did he score in the 4th quarter and in both overtimes?

Answer: 25

He scored 25 in a row for the Cavs, and 29 out of the final 30. Truly one of his greatest performances.
9. How many three-pointers did Daniel "Boobie" Gibson make in the game 6 victory over Detroit in the Eastern Conference Finals?

Answer: 5

He went 5 of 5 from the three-point line. He finished the game with 31 points.
10. Who took what would have been game the tying shot as time expired in game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Spurs?

Answer: LeBron James

Many thought LeBron was fouled on this play by Bruce Bowen, but the replays showed hardly any contact. LeBron missed the shot, and the Spurs won the game, 75-72.
