Ponting scored an incredible 242. He was caught by Sehwag off Kumble's bowling. Due to him, Australia amassed a total of 556. Waugh scored 30 and Langer scored 58. 242 is Ponting's best score. His previous best was 206.

Answer: Anil Kumble

Kumble took 5-154. Nehra took 2-115, Pathan took 1-136 and Agarkar took 2-119.

At one point, India were 85-4 but from that Dravid (233) and Laxman (148) together scored 303 runs helped India score 523 giving Aussies a lead of only 33 runs. This partnership revived the memories of the Kolkatta Test Match between Australia and India in which two had helped India win.

This double century of Dravid was his fourth double century putting him in joint position with Sunil Gavaskar. And Dravid is holding the record for the highest score by an Indian Test batsman abroad.
