1. QPR played in the Football League Championship during season 2010-11. In which position did QPR finish the season?

Answer: 1st

QPR were a foundation member of the Premiership in 1992 (finishing 5th making them the top London club), but were relegated in 1996. Their exile from the Premiership saw them drop down two divisions; they were promoted in 2nd place behind Plymouth Argyle from League One to the Championship in 2004, and then to the Premiership in 2011 after a 15 year absence.
QPR were last promoted to the top tier in 1983; when they won the (then) Division Two title.
2. How many appearances did mid-field general Shaun Derry make?

Answer: 45

There were 46 leauge games of which he made 45 appearances. He also made 2 appearances in Cup Competitions: one appearance in the Carling Cup v Port Vale and once in the FA Cup v Blackburn Rovers.
3. How many goals did captain Adel Taarabt score in the season?

Answer: 19

He scored 19 goals in 43 appearances. Adel was also voted Championship player of the year. Heidar Helguson was the second highest scorer with a total of 13 goals.
Shane Long of Reading scored the most goals in the championship with 24.

This was the last game of the season on 7th May 2011; the attendance was 18,234. It was a big match as Leeds needed to win by a major score, and hope that Nottingham Forest lost at Crystal Palace, to reach the play off finals.
Leeds did win 2-1 but Nottingham Forest also won 3-0, so keeping Leeds out of the play-offs. The lowest home attendance for QPR was 12,046 against Scunthorpe United on 21st August 2010. QPR lost the game 2-1 but had already won the title a week earlier (with a game to spare).

Paddy Kenny was in goal for 44 of the seasons 46 games breaking the clubs record for clean sheets. The club record was previously held by Phil Parkes during the 1971-72 season with a total of 22. QPR fell one short of the all-time record for the second tier of English Football; held by Sunderland with a total of 26 clean sheets from 46 games in the 1995-96 season.

The game was played at Ewood Park (away to Blackburn Rovers) on 8th January 2011. Jamie Mackie broke his leg in this game, thus ending his season. The game ended 1-0 to Blackburn with the winner scored by Junior Hoilett in the 77th minute. Blackburn went to Aston Villa (another Premiership club) in the next round, and lost 3-1.
9. QPR were knocked out of the Carling Cup by which lower league club?

Fourth-tier side Port Vale (playing in League Two) won 3-1 at Loftus Road on the 8th August 2010. They were knocked out of the tournament in the next round playing away to Fulham losing 6-0.
10. Which player was at the centre of alleged transfer rules and regulations irregularities?

Answer: Alejandro Faurlin

The FA charged QPR with breaking third party rules over Alejandro Faurlin's transfer during the summer of 2009 from Argentine 2nd division club Cordoba.
It was alleged that the fee of 3.5 million was paid to a third party agent instead of the club which is against regulations set by the FA. The club could have been deducted points if found guilty; they were informed, just 2 hours before the last game of the season, that they would face no punishment.
