Answer: Bossaball

Bossaball was invented and developed by Belgian Filip Eyckmans between 2003 and 2005. Each team has three to five players. An attacker is positioned on the trampoline and gains height to prepare a 'smash' on the opposing teams court. Other players on the inflatables use any body part to defend the ball from landing.

Answer: Pea shooting

Pea shooting started in Witcham during 1971 as an initiative to raise funds for a newly built village hall. The contest now attracts people from all over the world including Europe, New Zealand and America. Contestants shoot five peas at a soft target, similar to those used for archery, by blowing through the mouth using a thin straw like tube.

The largest outhouse race is held in Trenary, Michigan and attracts on average 3000 spectators. The outhouse is normally constructed of wood and must contain a toilet seat and toilet paper. Other features can include curtains and a chimney. All outhouses are given names that are appropriate to a family fun day out.

The Birdman Rally started in Selsey, England in 1971 and attracted small crowds. It was when the venue changed to Worthing, Sussex, that more people turned up to watch the crazy antics of those human flying machines. The event attracted worldwide media coverage with Australia and Japan being two countries to take up the sport.

Goanna pulling dates back to the 19th century with the national championship held each year in Wooli, New South Wales. Two people get down on all fours and a heavy leather strap is placed around their necks, joining them together. It is then the fight for the strongest as they pull at each other.

Rogaining is a team sport with up to five people per team. They use their navigational skills to cross country and visit various checkpoints along the way. With orienteering, the checkpoints are in a specific order but with rogaining, the check points can be visited in any order. Each checkpoint gives a number of points.

This sport is similar to go-cart racing but using a modified ride-on lawn mower instead. The blades are removed for safety reasons. The British Lawn Mower Racing Association and United States Lawn Mower Racing Association are two of the largest governing bodies for this sport.

Extreme ironers take their ironing board and iron to remote places such as mountains, gorges, mine shafts or under ice topped lakes. They even take them parachuting with them. The sport mixes endurance, fitness as well as going home with a freshly pressed shirt.

Noodling involves either one person or a team of people clambering around a riverbed or sometimes diving up to 20 feet in water. Catfish live in holes and the object of the sport is to wiggle the fingers just inside the hole until the catfish grabs hold of the hand or arm.

Answer: Worm charming

Vibrating the ground using various implements will cause the worm to appear at the surface of the soil. This method is used by fishermen to collect bait but has since become a popular competitive sport. Other names for this sport can include 'worm grunting' or 'worm fiddling'.
