Joly was taken first overall in the 1974 draft. Rick Green was also taken first overall but not until 1976. Ron Low and Yvon Labre were both selected in the 1974 expansion draft second and eighth respectively.

Both Peter and Anton Stastny had a hat trick against the Caps on February 22, 1981 with Peter getting 4 goals. In that same game that Quebec won 11-7 Jacques Richard also had a hat trick in that same game.
