Answer: Villa Park

Villa Park, the home ground of Aston Villa FC, is one of the largest stadiums in England. Old Trafford of Manchester was used for the other semi-final. On their way to the semi-final, Watford beat Macclesfield Town, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Burnley. They eventually lost 1-2 to Southampton at Villa Park, in front of 42,603 people.

Answer: Sheffield United

Sheffield United are one of two teams in Sheffield, along with Sheffield Wednesday. The original team there, called Sheffield FC, were the oldest football team in England. However, they have since moved to Derbyshire. Sheffield United were promoted to the Premiership at the end of the 2005-06 season.

Answer: Graham Taylor

Graham Taylor was manager from 1977 to 1987. Watford were promoted from Divisin Four in 1978, from Division Three in 1979, and from Division Two in 1982. They played in the First Diviisonn for six season.

Graham Taylor also managed clubs such as Lincoln City and also the national team. Later in his career he had a second shorter spell at Watford (19988 to 2001) and also at Aston Villa.

Alan Smart scored the second after Nick Wright's overhead kick put Watford ahead in the second half. Watford were relagated from the FA Premier League after one season, and were again promoted to the Premier League via the playoffs, in 2006.

Watford were founded all the way back in 1881. However, they were not called Watford FC at the time. Their original name was Watford Rovers, which became West Herts two years later, and Watford FC when they merged with Watford St Marys in 1898. They did not join the Football League until 1920, when they were admitted as a foundation member of Division Three, which became Divsion Three (South) the following season.
8. What are the traditional colours of Watford's home strip?

Answer: yellow and black
