For the first time since 1926 there was a one-two result with players from the same club.
2. How many votes did Ben Cousins poll to win the award?

Answer: 20

He finished on 20 votes just one clear of teammate Daniel Kerr.
3. What was unusual about Cousins relationship with the man who came second in the award?

Answer: The runner-up was dating Cousins' sister

Ben Cousins' sister was actually dating Daniel Kerr and attended the function as Kerr's date. She described it as a win-win situation when the final votes were being read out.

Kirk would have disappointed punters as he only polled 10 votes to finish 10 behind Cousins.
