Commissioner Gordon was frantic since it appeared as if Bruce Wayne was nowhere to be found but he had an hour to drop off Zelda's ransom or else Harriet Cooper would die. Robin was there with him and instructed Commissioner Gordon not to worry. He stated that he was confidant that Batman would eventually locate Bruce Wayne.

Commissioner Gordon informed Bruce Wayne and Robin that Harriet Cooper's kidnapper instructed for all three of them to go on the air when they were ready to deliver the ransom money. All three characters appeared on a special TV announcement with Zelda watching from her hideout. On the announcement, Bruce stated that their only interest laid upon a safe return for Harriet Cooper.

During the middle of the special announcement, Zelda telephoned the studio which was broadcasting it and spoke directly to Commissioner Gordon since he picked up on the other end. She informed him that the call had better not be traced so he promised her it was not. Robin asked Zelda how Harriet was and Zelda said she was doing quite well.

After the doctor exited Wayne Manor upon examining Harriet Cooper, Alfred told both Bruce and Dick that he blamed himself for what happened to her. He stated that he should not have been cleaning up the Batcave when Harriet received the phone call from Zelda. They both informed him not to feel guilty since Harriet was fine.

Alfred said that he found something of the kidnapper's on the steps of Wayne Manor after Harriet had returned home safely. He handed Bruce a book of matches and said that should more than enough to aid them in their quest to unmask who this crook was. They noticed that the matches were from the Gnome Book Store.

Batman and Robin realized that the crook was a magician so Robin commented that that clue would not help them since there were 27 magicians licensed to practice in Gotham City. Batman advised Robin to think back on what Zelda mentioned about Harriet's plight. Robin remembered Zelda talking about a straitjacket. That was when he remembered attending one of Zelda's shows the previous summer when she used a straitjacket as part of her gimmick.

Dumbrille, born on October 13th, 1889 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, was cast as Harriet's doctor in this episode. He played the role for just this one episode of "Batman". He also guest starred on the TV series' "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Perry Mason" and "77 Sunset Strip".

Batman and Robin went to the location where Zelda was hiding out and she planned to lure them into a trap. When they were inside, there was a note which told them to look at a book on the back shelf. Batman picked up the book and noticed the title was "The Truth About Bats".

Batman and Robin went into another room at Zelda's hideout and were surprised when a couple of lights went out. They saw a capsule which had a bat inside of it. As they stepped inside the capsule, Zelda used magic to make the bat disappear. She then was successful in closing the capsule door, trapping the Dynamic Duo.

The episode ended with Bruce Wayne paying Zelda a visit in prison and he promised to get right to the point. He told her that he could not approve of her conduct but that he appreciated the fact that she helped save Batman and Robin's lives. Bruce told her that he wanted to repay her by getting her a job at a children's hospital as a resident magician. Zelda told Bruce how much she approved of this idea.
