Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "To her mother's way of thinking _______ was the perfect child." What child's name fits into this quote from Mary Alice's narration?

Answer: Julie

Mary Alice narrated about the smugness of parents who had a "good child" when they witnessed another parent with their "bad child". Susan drove up to her home and saw Lynette trying to deal with her sons. Lynette did not have bad children, she just needed to figure out how to enforce her authority. Susan believed Julie to be her prefect child, only to walk up and see Julie kissing Zach Young! Afterward, Lynette witnessed Susan and Julie fighting about Zach, and it seemed to make her feel better. Susan did not want 14 year old Julie going to the school dance with Zach.
2. John Rowland's parents came to Gabrielle to enlist her help to convince John to go to college.

Answer: True

When Gabby spotted Helen and Bob Rowland coming up her front walk path, she quickly darted out her front door to prevent Carlos from seeing them approach. They explained that John had turned 18, moved out of their house, and decided to turn down a college scholarship so he could expand his landscaping business. They couldn't get him to even talk with them about the situation and needed Gabby to help convince John he was making a mistake. Typical selfish Gabby refused to help on the grounds of she and John had made a "clean break" and they shouldn't see each other for any reason. The truth was that Gabby did not want to deal with John while Carlos was so close and could figure it all out. So, Helen resorted to blackmail in order to get Gabby's help.

Mark Harelik played Bob Rowland.
3. Who played Tom Scavo's father, Rodney, in this episode?

Answer: Ryan O'Neal

When Tom and Rodney arrived at the Scavo home, Lynette was trying to coax her son Parker off of their rooftop. He was scared to come down, so Rodney offered to try to rescue him. Rodney used the tactic of "only a little girl would be afraid to come down the ladder" and it worked! Ryan O'Neal also played the father of Temperance Brennan on "Bones" and Teddy Montgomery on "90210". But, he may be best known has the long time on again/off again partner of Farrah Fawcett, who passed away in 2008.

He is also the father of actress Tatum O'Neal. Corbin Bernsen may best known for his role on the hit drama "LA Law", but he also played the father of Shawn Spencer on "Psych".
4. What did Bree tell Rex she needed in order to even consider saving their marriage?

Answer: revenge

When Rex asked if she was talking about an affair, Bree smiled in acknowledgment. He asked her if she meant her "dopey pharmacist", but she did not confirm or deny that she meant George. She asked if it would hurt him if she slept with another man, and he said it would "devastate" him.
5. Who did Tom find sitting on the curb outside of his house when he pulled into the driveway?

Answer: His father

Lynette caught Rodney cheating on Tom's mom. Rodney tried to appeal to Lynette's compassionate side by making himself look like a victim. He claimed to have stayed in loveless marriage for years, but that did little to soften his daughter-in-law. So, his final tact was to tell her it was his sex life and only his business, and that there was nothing she could do. So, obviously, she kicked him out of her house! When Tom tried to rationalize his dad's long time philandering behavior, Lynette sent Tom out there to the curb with him!
6. Did John propose marriage to Gabrielle?

Answer: Yes

When Gabby went over to John's new place, she found out that John had given up college so they could be a real couple. He told her that now he could offer her security as well as his heart. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed to her!
7. Which choice did NOT happen when Rex came to the pharmacy for his medication?

Answer: Rex took his pills home when he left.

Rex came in for his medication and took the opportunity to warn George that if Bree did have sex with him it would be for revenge. George said that Bree would never use him, as she was a lady. That is when Rex said she was a beautiful, classy lady and that type usually ended up with doctors. George said that Bree was not a perceptive lady, due to the fact that Bree believed Rex to be a good person. Though Rex's prescription was ready, George lied and said he couldn't find it.

He told Rex he'd have it delivered. Before that happened, George dumped out Rex's heart medication.
8. Who did Susan dance with at Julie's school dance?

Answer: Paul

Paul came to the dance as a chaperon, presumably, to find out how much Susan knew about Dana's death. The truth was that Susan knew nothing. She'd eavesdropped on Julie and Zach's phone call enough to know that Julie as keeping a secret for Zach, but that was all Susan really heard. So, when the pair started dancing, it was Susan who began the fishing.

She offered she'd overheard the kids talking, and that she heard the entire secret. So, Paul actually gave up the entire secret. He said that Zach had accidentally killed Dana, and that he and Mary Alice had never really known exactly what happened.

He asked Susan to keep the information to herself.
9. Zach agreed to keep Paul's secret on one condition. What was that condition?

Answer: They had to stay, and not move away.

On the way home from the dance, Paul told Zach that Dana was actually still alive. When Zach asked why his dad was revealing this fact now, Paul said he just couldn't let Zach go on thinking he'd killed someone. Zach found the entire revelation bogus.

He knew his dad was making an attempt to keep Zach quiet. So, Zach agreed to remain quiet if they could stay in town. Their house was sold, and Paul initially refused to agree, but Zach knew his dad would do what he wanted. Zach was one creepy teenager.
10. Gabrielle told John she loved him and he was all that mattered to her.

Answer: False

She gave John back the ring, which belonged to his grandmother, and he had a temper tantrum. He was in love and frustrated, and acted like the child he was. When he expressed his love to Gabby and asked her if it mattered to her, she said "no". She went on to tell him all he was to her was a "big dumb toy" so he may as well go to college.
