Beaumon, born on June 2nd, 1955 in San Diego, California played Ben Linus as a young boy in this episode. He played the part for a total of five episodes. He has also guest starred on the TV series', "ER", "7th Heaven", and "In Case of Emergency."

John Locke and Ben were down by the beach in one scene and then Caesar went up to them to ask what they were doing. Locke told him that he and Ben were taking a boat to the main island so Caesar said they could not do it. Locke informed Caesar that the boat was not his and he was under the impression that the boat was discovered there so therefore he could borrow one.

Ben got fed up with listening to Caesar so he got a gun and shot him dead.
