Jack awakens in the middle of the jungle. He hears the cries of Hurley, who happens to be clinging to a guitar case, in the middle of the water. Jack, heroically jumps in to save Hurley. Additionally, Jack spots Kate lying unconscious on the shore. He revives her and tells Kate that they are back on the island.

2. Ben arrives with all of the members that he could muster. Eloise is disappointed and says, "I thought I said all of them." Ben replies that, "This is all I could get on short notice." Eloise displays a previously undisclosed DHARMA Initiative station. What is the name of this station?

Answer: The Lamp Post

Eloise describes in great detail the mechanics of The Lamp Post. She tells Jack that there will be a flight traversing the exact coordinates of the island. Consequently, they must recreate the circumstances that brought them to the island.

3. Eloise tells Jack that he must give something to John, in order for the group to be transported back to the island. What does Jack decide to give to John?

Jack receives a pair of shoes from his grandfather. Jack's grandfather had been keeping a number of items, including a pair of shoes. Flight 316 is scheduled to land in Guam, according to the instructions from Eloise. Hurley has purchased practically all of the seats on the flight. Jack poignantly displays his final wishes to John, after placing Jack's father's shoes on Locke's feet in the the casket. Jack says' "And the other people on this plane..what's gonna happen to them?" Ben replies, "who cares?"

6. Ironically, who happens to be the pilot of the plane to their destination?

Answer: Frank Lapidus

In an ironic twist, the pilot of the 316 flight, just happens to be Frank Lapidus. Frank says, "Well, I picked this gig up about eight months ago. I fly this route all the time. Sometimes I take the big birds into New Delhi. Is... that Sayid? And Hurley. Wait a second. We're not going to Guam, are we?"
Frank realized that they are headed back to the island.

7. Jack asks Ben, "How can you read?" Ben replies that, "My mother taught me. I can read, Jack, because it beats what you're doing." Jack finally reads the note from John. What does it say?

Answer: "Jack I wish you had believed me."

Jack says, "They found this stuffed in his pocket. And I've been trying to get rid of it, but it's like it's... following me. I know it sounds crazy, but... it feels like John needs me to read it." Ben declares that it wasn't Jack's fault that John committed suicide. Jack is nevertheless skeptical. He reads the note, which says, "Jack I wish you had believed me." This tends to reaffirm the faith that Jack never really had in John.

8. While Eloise is describing the intricacies of finding the future location of the island, Desmond becomes enraged that they are all considering returning to the island. What is Desmond's message for Eloise?

Answer: Desmond tells Eloise that only she can help the people on the island.

Desmond exclaims, "I came here to deliver a message. Daniel Faraday, your son, sent me here. He wanted me to tell you that he and all the people on the island need your help. He said that only you could help them. He didn't say Jack. He didn't say Sun. He didn't say Ben. He said you!" Desmond declares that he is done with the island and storms out of the room.

The other members of the group arrive at the airport. Hurley, Kate, Ben, Jack and Sayid. However, Sayid has apparently been arrested for something and is under the custody of a security official. Interestingly enough, in the background, an Oceanic poster is prominently displayed at the airport. Jack is required to sign a consent form for examining the contents of the casket.

The officer says, "Then please sign here. Thank you for flying Ajira Air."

10. En route to their destination, the plane suddenly experiences severe turbulence. In a few moments, Jack, Hurley and Kate find themselves on the island again. Who happens to confront them?

Answer: Jin

Hurley, Jack and Kate are alone in the jungle. Having saved Hurley and Kate, Jack wonders where the rest of the passengers have landed. Suddenly, a relatively new DHARMA Initiative van arrives. Jin exits and points a rifle at the three. Surprisingly, Jin is donning a DHARMA uniform. Jin appears to recognize the three.
