Dion, born on December 26th, 1964 in Newburgh, New York originated the character of Leslie Coulson in April of 1999 when she reconnected with her ex-boyfriend, David Hayward. Leslie was introduced as an attorney who found work at a law firm in Pine Valley. Dion had stints on the defunct soap operas, "Guiding Light", "Santa Barbara", and "Search for Tomorrow."

Jake sued Liza for custody of Colby and he retained Leslie to be his lawyer. Leslie did a great job since the judge, at the conclusion of the trial, awarded primary custody to Jake. This was when Liza proclaimed that Jake was not Colby's biological father. Adam turned out to be her father since Liza got artificially inseminated with Colby.

At the last minute, Adam bought the clinic where this procedure took place and switched his sperm sample with Jake's.

Dixie and Opal found out where she was holding Tad hostage and, right as they came upon the scene, Leslie kicked off the box upon which Tad stood and he started to hang. Dixie screamed in horror but Jesse's ghost was around to flip the box back under Tad's feet and Tad lived. Leslie was arrested and sent to a psychiatric institution.
