Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the Winterfell great hall celebrating victory against the Night King, three play a game of truth or drink. Who follows Ser Brienne into her bedchambers?

Answer: Jaime

Playing "Truth or Dare" Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) declares Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) a virgin, causing her to leave the table. Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) attempts to follow but Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) blocks Tormund and enters Brienne's bedchambers, where he admits he is jealous of Tormund. Jaime and Brienne spend the night together. As Brienne sleeps however, Jaime lies awake and unhappy. Perhaps at the shocking news that the fight at King's Landing is going well for Cersei (Lena Headey)?

In the early dawn he saddles up his horse. Brienne pleads with him to stay with her, but he recounts the terrible things he has done for Cersei. "Cersei is hateful. So am I", he says, and rides away, leaving Brienne sobbing (but, not a virgin).
2. Jon's faithful direwolf Ghost fought in the Battle of Winterfell against the White Walkers, but now Jon is going south. Jon asks Tormund to do what with Ghost?

Answer: Take him north

Ghost (Quigly) has wounds but he's all right. As Jon Snow (Kit Harington) says good-bye to Tormund Giantsbane, he asks his friend to take Ghost north "where he belongs". Thus we know Tormund and the Free Folk won't be fighting in the war for the Iron Throne, and this could be good-bye to Tormund and Ghost for viewers, too.
Ghost fought next to Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) during the Battle of Winterfell, because Jon was in the sky on the dragon.

Sophie Turner adopted the Northern Inuit Dog who played "Lady", Sansa's direwolf.
3. During the victory celebration at Winterfell Tormund and others admire Jon for his heroism, ignoring Daenerys and all she sacrificed. Daenerys later begs Jon to do what, about his secret identity as a Stark-Targaryen?

Answer: Tell no one

As Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) prepare to leave Winterfell, Daenerys begs Jon to "tell no one" that he is a Stark-Targaryen, but let her take the Iron Throne as they'd agreed before. She warns that if people find out he has rightful claim as King, it will tear their love apart. Jon says he must tell his family, and that he has "bent the knee", she is his Queen, so it will all be fine. Trusting that people will do the right thing is a something the good-hearted Jon has done before, as did his father Lord Eddard before him.

Daenerys says the admiration the northerners give to Jon is like she had at Essos, but never in Westeros. She realizes they will always prefer Jon. Tyrion and Varys (Conleth Hill) later discuss that being male is part of it, as is Westeros blood (though Tormund is from a people who honor female warriors, so ignoring Daenerys wasn't about her gender).
4. Now that she knows Jon is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, who breaks her promise and tells Tyrion Jon's secret?

Answer: Sansa

Lady Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) showed distain for Daenerys since they first met in the days before the Battle of Winterfell. She accepted Daenerys only long enough to use her armies and dragons to defeat the Night King. Now, Sansa has little gratitude, and will not accept her as Queen of Westeros. Having learned from Bran the Three-Eyed Raven (Isaac Hempstead Wright) that Jon is in fact Aegon, a Stark-Targaryen prince, Sansa listens to Tyrion as he says in parting, "I believe in" Daenerys. "What if there is someone else? Someone better?", Sansa replies. She tells Tyrion Jon's secret.

Samwell had told Jon. Jon told Sansa. Sansa tells Tyrion. Tyrion tells Varys...it's a secret no more.
5. After fierce fighting Sandor "the Hound" is riding south toward King's Landing when someone with "unfinished business" in the southern city joins him. Who?

Answer: Arya

Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) have a complicated history and friendship. As he's riding away from Winterfell she shows up silently and walks her horse alongside him on the King's Road south. He says he doesn't like company. Neither does she. He says he has "unfinished business" in King's Landing. So does she. He says he doesn't think he'll ever be back at Winterfell.

Arya replies, "Neither will I".
6. Queen Daenerys made Gendry "the bastard" into Lord Gendry Baratheon, winning the support of his House. Gendry rushed to ask who to marry him?

Answer: Arya

Queen Daenerys begins by seeming to confront the bastard Gendry (Joe Dempsie), because his father the late King Robert Baratheon stole the Iron Throne from her father. Gendry replies he didn't even know Robert was his father "until after he was dead". Having clarified in public that Gendry is innocent of Baratheon sins, Daenerys makes Gendry a "Lord", shrewdly earning the support of his House. Reared a blacksmith, bought and sold, Gendry knows nothing about being a Lord, but he's very excited. He races to find Arya, tells her she's beautiful, gets on his knees and proposes she be his Lady.

She kisses him gently, then echoes the sentiments she told her father when she was still a girl, new to King's Landing, "I'm not a Lady...That's not me". Honestly, you'd think Gendry would know that.
7. Tyrion has a close friend who "worries about" the state of mind of Queen Daenerys. Who serves as her advisor but confides she may not be a good Queen for the common people?

Answer: Varys

Varys seemingly is a faithful advisor to Daenerys, but when Tyrion tells him Jon Snow is actually Aegon Targaryen, Varys confides "as honestly as I can", he is not on board with Daenerys, and isn't sure about her "state of mind". He had told Daenerys straight out her plan to attack King's Landing on her dragon "is a mistake". If she torches the city and all the innocent people in it, they will see her as just like the "Mad King" who was her father. Varys tells Tyrion he's served a handful of "tyrants" and he believes those who rule do not care about the "realm"-- the everyday people he cares about.

It sounds like he's done supporting her. Tyrion points out that Varys talk is "treason".
8. As Samwell and Gilly say good-bye to Jon Snow at Winterfell, what does Jon discover about them?

Answer: They are expecting a baby

When Jon hugs Gilly (Hannah Murray) he realizes she is with child. Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) was a pledged member of the Night's Watch, never to have family, but the Night's Watch is gone now. Gilly says they plan to name the baby Jon if it's a boy. Surprisingly, Jon says, "I hope it's a girl". Like Tormund, it seems Samwell will not join Jon in the fight at King's Landing. Perhaps Sam will go home as Lord of the Tarly House, Horn Hill.

Samwell is a close friend with Jon Snow since season one. It was Sam who discovered the power of dragon glass to kill White Walkers. But, by discovering and then telling Jon his true Aegon identity, has Sam set something foreboding in motion?
9. Daenerys is flying south on Drogon when suddenly Rhaegal is pierced by a spear, which was launched from a ship by whom?

Answer: Euron Greyjoy

Daenerys protectiveness and rage are aroused, and she is both devastated and furious when her "child" the dragon Rhaegal is slashed with a "scorpion" spear, and then pierced through the throat. He falls into the sea. She aims her dragon Drogon straight for Euron Greyjoy, who launched the spear from his fleet, but she is able to calm her fury and veer off before he can shoot Drogon.

Euron fired a "scorpion"--a giant crossbow with enough power to pierce dragon scales. Qyburn, Queen Cersei's Hand and Maester (Anton Lesser), had been working on how to do this for some time.

Rhaegal was Jon Snow's ride, named after his birth father, the brother of Daenerys. Good-bye Rhaegal, who burned the House of the Undying to ashes, grew up chained in the catacombs of Meereen, ate a Noble, was freed by Tyrion, reigned fire upon the enemies of Daenerys both living and undead, battled his undead brother Viserion, and died in the sky.
10. The Ironborn pirate Euron captures Missandei. What happens to her that may set off a cascade of vengeance?

Answer: Beheaded

After Euron (Pilou Asbaek) shattered their ships Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) can't find Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), who is captured and held in Cersei's castle, her wrists chained together. Cersei quips, "So much for 'Breaker of Chains'". Tyrion bravely walks up to the Red Keep gates where Cersei displays Missandei.

He pleads with Cersei, cleverly letting it slip she's pregnant, shocking Euron. Missandei says, "Dracarys!" and then Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane (Hafpor Julius Bjornsson) beheads her. Daenerys and Grey Worm are filled with rage and grief, as Cersei had no doubt calculated. "Dracarys" is the High Valyrian word commanding the dragons to breathe fire. Missandei's final advice to Daenerys: scorch King's Landing? Good-bye gentle Missandei, former slave, loyal advisor to the Breaker of Chains, true love of Unsullied.
