The blind assassin, Vanessa Brewer, was played by Jennifer Badger Martin. As a little side note, the character's name was listed as Vanessa Weeks in the credits, but she was called Vanessa Brewer in the show. I also verified the character name as Brewer on www.imdb.com. I guess they changed her name at some point in the production process.

Wolfram & Hart represented the woman, pro bono, and managed to have all charges against her dropped. Angel was far from happy about the outcome, as he eloquently ranted to Wesley and Cordelia. "I didn't cause it, and I can't fix it. I can't do anything about it." . . . "It's their courtroom, not mine.

Their rules. Their game. I have no place in their world at all. How am I expected to do battle if I can't even get into the ring?"
