Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was working at the Talon when the "robbery-in-plain-sight incident" occurred?

Answer: Lois

Lois Lane is working at the Talon, Smallville's best coffee shop where Lana's parents met, when Kevin steals money from the open cash register. "You did NOT just do that," Lois says to Kevin, the thief, and then he puts his hand up in front of her face, apparently shoots out kryptonite-green memory-sucking rays, and takes away the past few seconds of memory from Lois.
2. During the approximately eight-second long scene where Clark is losing his memory, many scenes from different episodes are shown. There were scenes with Pete Ross and Dr. Virgil Swan, but were any scenes from season 1?

Answer: Yes

In fact, there were quite a few scenes from season 1, including the twisters (from the episode "Tempest (1)" ), when Clark is struck by lightning (from "Leech"), and the scene mentioned very often where Lex drives his car straight into Clark and off of the bridge ("Pilot").
3. What is the first thing that Clark does that uses his abilities after losing his memory?

Answer: Pull a locked door off of its hinges

Clark has forgotten that he isn't human, as well as who he and everyone he knows is, and where he lives. He thought the doorknob was stuck, and pulled harder, throwing the door back into the distance behind him. Chloe prevented Clark from attempting to open the peanut butter jar that Lois couldn't open, and when Clark first saw Lana, he set a lampshade on fire.
4. How does Chloe explain the Kents' front door?

Answer: Some "freak wind" blew it off

Lois doesn't seem to "buy" that explanation, saying "Okay," in a sarcastic tone, but apparently does, as no further questioning is needed.
5. When Chloe proves to Clark that he has exceptional strength, does Clark think that he might be an alien?

Answer: Yes

This is very interesting, as Chloe specifically says that he is not an alien, but rather (as the unknowing Clark put it) "some kind of mutant". Of course, Clark Kent is, in fact, an alien from the planet Krypton. His "real" name is Kal-El, and he is a bit more mutated than the rest of the humans with odd abilities resulting from the meteor shower.
6. Does Clark accidentally use his heat vision or X-Ray vision first?

Answer: X-Ray

Clark and Chloe are looking for something at the Talon's counter to see if they can find anything that might tip them off as to who stole the money. Clark sees through the solid object of the counter, causing Chloe to learn something new. A few moments later, Lana walks down from the apartment over the Talon, triggering Clark's heat vision.
7. When Clark asks "Who is that (referring to Lana)?", how does Chloe sadly answer?

Answer: That is Lana Lang. The love of your life.

Clark appears to have a severe case of "love at first sight" for Lana, and his heat vision is triggered. (Just in case you didn't know, in the season two episode "Heat" Clark uncontrollably shoots fire out of his eyes when he thinks about, well, sex.) He later is seen looking at photographs of Lana in the loft.
8. Clark is seen looking at a few photos of Lana in his loft, and then he looks at some drawings he's made. What are these drawings of?

Answer: The cave walls

The drawings show the two-headed creature, where the octagonal key goes, and that there is a room behind one of the walls. At the end of the episode, Lex steals one of these drawings.
9. Chloe brings Clark to Lex's mansion, which leads to Clark being impressed by his being friends with a billionaire, and calling Lex "Mr. Luthor". Lex wants to talk to Clark alone, and Chloe hesitantly leaves Clark alone with Lex. However, when she leaves, she whispers something for Clark to pick up with his "super-hearing". What does she say?

Answer: Clark, be careful

Lex leads Clark to the caves, claiming that he thinks it might help to bring back some of Clark's memories. During that scene, Lex finds out about the room behind one of the cave walls, and that Clark is drawing pictures of them.
10. The sheriff and what other character find out about Clark's abilities for a few moments (before having their memories erased) in this episode?

Answer: Lois Lane

Both the sheriff and Lois seem a bit surprised when Clark displays his super-strength. Kevin is amazed as well, but with some quick thinking Kevin decides to erase Lois and the sheriff's memories. Remember, Kevin has the ability to erase anyone's memory of the past few moments if he so chooses.

He also decides to erase Chloe's memory of the past few seconds, and Lois and the sheriff forget ever having seen Clark use his abilities. However, Chloe doesn't forget everything...
11. Clark, of course, gets his memory back. When he does, he forgets everything that happened while he was out of it. What does he say to Lana both while his memory is "blanked" out, and when he's "better" again?

Answer: This time will be different

Both times, Lana responds, confused and surprised, "This time?"
12. When Clark's parents come home, they inform Clark (incorrectly) that Chloe didn't find anything out, and that he shouldn't worry.

Answer: False

Clark's parents, played by Annette O'Toole and John Schneider, did not appear at all in this episode.
13. Chloe mentions to Clark that she never realized how complicated his life was before. "Complicated?" Clark asks, afraid that she found out something. What is the next thing Clark says?

Answer: Chloe, what did I do? You have to be honest.

"Honest, huh?" Chloe responds. She is referring, of course, to the fact that Clark hasn't been honest to her, and that it isn't exactly fair to expect her to be honest with him.
14. Chloe says that Clark had a clean slate to start over with, and he made all of the same choices but one. What did Chloe say was the only way Clark's choices differed?

Answer: He "trusted" Chloe

This is a very meaningful scene where Chloe avoids truly telling Clark that she knows his secret. She says to Clark, "You trusted me." Clark doesn't know what to think of that, but he continues to be suspicious of what she might know in the next few episodes.
15. What did Lex apparently steal from Clark's loft while Clark wasn't home?

Answer: Drawings of the caves

If you answered "$250,963,782,194", then you obviously don't watch "Smallville". Clark has never had that much money, and Lex would have no reason to steal. Unfortunately, Amnesia-Clark happens to mention that his drawings showed a room behind one of the walls in the cave. Lex doesn't manage to find out anything else from Clark, but uses this knowledge to as much of an advantage as possible.
