Question 1 of 20
1. "I hate this. I hate being here. I hate that you have to be here. I hate that there's evil, and that I was chosen to fight it. I wish, a whole lot of the time, that I hadn't been. I know a lot of you wish I hadn't been either. But this isn't about wishes. This is about choices. I believe we can beat this evil. Not when it comes, not when its army is ready, now. Tomorrow morning I'm opening the seal. I'm going down into the Hellmouth, and I'm finishing this once and for all. Right now you're asking yourself, 'what makes this different? What makes us anything more than a bunch of girls being picked off one by one?' It's true none of you have the power that Faith and I do. So here's the part where you make a choice: What if you could have that power...now? In every generation, one Slayer is born ... because a bunch of men who died thousands of years ago made up that rule. They were powerful men. This woman is more powerful than all of them combined. So I say we change the rule. I say my power should be our power. Tomorrow, Willow will use the essence of the scythe to change our destiny. From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer...will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power will have the power; can stand up, will stand up. Slayers ... every one of us. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?" Who said this and in what episode?

Answer: (3 words, first name, the word AND and then episode title)
Question 2 of 20
2. "Shh. No questions. No talking. I can't help it. I can't stop thinking about you and us and our brief but unforgettable time together. I mean, it's-why else would I be here? I mean, it's not like I'm snooping around looking for proof that you're some sort of whacked out serial killer. I don't know why I said that. Forget I said that. It's craziness talking. It's just nerves. Nerves. Nerves and-and horniness. Oh, just shut up, William, and take me. Take me now." Who said this and in what episode? Hint

Question 3 of 20
3. "Things fall apart. They fall apart so hard. You can't ever ... put them back the way they were. I'm sorry, it's just... You know, it takes time. You can't just ... have coffee and expect -- there's just so much to work through. Trust has to be built again, on both sides... You have to learn if ... if we're even the same people we were, if you can fit in each other's lives. It's a long, important process, and ... can we just skip it? Can - can you just be kissing me now?" Who said this? Hint

Question 4 of 20
4. This next monologue was broken up into a dialogue, but I find it powerful on it's own. Identify the episode that this was from: "I tried to find it, of course. The spark. The missing ... the piece that fit. That would make me fit. Because you didn't want... God, I can't... Not with you looking. I dreamed of killing you. I think they were dreams. So weak. Did you make me weak, thinking of you, holding myself, and spilling useless buckets of salt over your ... ending? Angel-he should've warned me. He makes a good show of forgetting, but it's here, in me, all the time. The spark. I wanted to give you what you deserve, and I got it. They put the spark in me and now all it does is burn. It's what you wanted, right? It's what you wanted, right? And-and now everybody's in here, talking. Everything I did...everyone I- and him ... and it ... the other, the thing beneath-beneath you. It's here too. Everybody. They all just tell me go ... go ... to hell. Buffy, shame on you. Why does a man do what he mustn't? For her. To be hers. To be the kind of man who would nev- to be a kind of man. She shall look on him with forgiveness, and everybody will forgive and love. He will be loved. So everything's OK, right? Can-can we rest now? Buffy...can we rest?" Hint

Question 5 of 20
5. "You'll have to excuse this spectacle, but I've always been a sucker for the old classics. Oh, don't look at me that way. I wanted to do this more subtle like. My harbingers have a tendency to draw attention to themselves. You're the one who couldn't hold his end of the bargain. You're the one who couldn't take care of what's-his-name. You're the one who had to make breakthroughs and learn something about himself. So now, fittingly, you're the one who gets to do the honors. I have to admit, I'm glad it worked out this way. I was going to bleed Andrew, but you look a lot better with your shirt off. To be honest, I'm getting tired of subtle. I think it's time we brought some authority to our presence. Now, Spike, you wanna see what a real vampire looks like?" This Monologue was spoken by The First to Spike, but as what two people was The First guised as? Hint

Question 6 of 20
6. "I guess I was kind of new to being around humans before. But now I've seen a lot more, got to know people, see what they're capable of.... I guess I just realized how amazingly screwed up they all are. I mean really, really screwed up in a monumental fashion. And they have no purpose that unites them, so they just drift around blundering through life until they die -- which they know is coming, yet every single one of them is surprised when it happens to them. They're incapable of thinking what they want beyond the moment. They kill each other, which is clearly insane ... and yet here's the thing. When it's something that really matters, they fight. I mean, they're lame morons for fighting, but they do! They never -- they never quit. And so I guess I will keep fighting too." Who did Anya tell this to? Hint

Question 7 of 20
7. "You're always saving everyone. It's kinda pesky. You probably even think you're buying escape time for Jonathan and the other one. Well, I got a little secret for ya. Oh, well. Fly, my pretty, fly. See what I did there?" So obviously this is Dark Willow, but in which episode does she say this? Hint

Question 8 of 20
8. "But what else could I expect from a bunch of low rent, no account hoodlums like you? Hoodlums! Yes. I mean you and your friends, your whole sex, throw 'em all in the sea for all I care. Hint

Begin preparation for mobilization. Once we're accounted for, I want to be ready to move. We'll be paying a visit to the Hellmouth. My friends, these are the times that define us. More than flesh...more than blood. I'm... you know, I honestly don't think there's a human word fabulous enough for me. Oh, my name will be on everyone's lips, assuming their lips haven't been torn off. But not just yet. That's all right, though...I can be patient. Everything is well within parameters. She's exactly where I want her to be. And so are you, Number 17. You're right where you belong. So what'd you think? You'd get your soul back and everything'd be Jim Dandy? Soul's slipperier than a greased weasel. Why do you think I sold mine? Well, you probably thought that you'd be your own man, and I respect that, but ... you never will. You'll always be mine. Question 15 of 20
15. "Dawn, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will *always* love you. But this is the work that I have to do. Tell Giles ... tell Giles I figured it out. And, and I'm okay. Live. For me." What episode is this from?

Answer: (Two Words)
Question 16 of 20
16. "You really do think you're better than we are. But we don't know. We don't know if you're actually better. I mean, you came into the world with certain advantages, sure. I mean, that's the legacy. But you didn't earn it. You didn't work for it. Who says this?

Answer: (One Word)
Question 17 of 20
17. "Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping ... waiting ... and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir ... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us ... guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love ... the clarity of hatred ... the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead." Who said this and in what episode?

Answer: (Three Words: _____ and ______)
Question 18 of 20
18. "'And there will be a time of crisis, of worlds hanging in the
balance. And in this time shall come the Anointed, the Master's great
warrior. And the Slayer will not know him, will not stop him, and he
will lead her into Hell.' As it is written, so shall it be. 'Five will die, and from their ashes the Anointed shall rise. The Brethren of Aurelius shall greet him and usher him to his immortal destiny.' As it is written, so shall it be. 'And one of the brethren shall go out hunting the night before and get himself killed, because he couldn't wait to finish his job before he ate.' Oh, wait.. That's not written anywhere. Answer: (Two Words)
Question 19 of 20
19. "Don't tell me you don't see it, Joyce. You've served your purpose; you squirted out the kid, raised her up, and now you might as well be dead. I mean, nobody cares, nobody remembers, especially Buffy-Fabulous-Superhero. Sooner or later, you're going to have to face it. She was over us a long time ago, Joyce. Too busy climbing up on her new boy toy to give a single thought to those who matter. I mean, you're her mother, and she just leaves you here to die." Who said this? Hint

Question 20 of 20
20. "You listen to me. I've been alive a lot longer than you. and dead a lot longer than that. I've seen things you couldn't imagine, and done things I'd prefer you didn't. I don't exactly have a reputation for being a thinker; I follow my blood, which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my brain. So I make a lot of mistakes, a lot of wrong bloody calls. A hundred plus years and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of -- you. Hey, look at me. I'm not asking you for anything. When I say I love you it's not because I want you or 'cause I can't have you -- it has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy." Who says it? Hint

Answer: Anya -- "Sleeper"

Of course, Anya's plan on seducing Spike didn't work and results in one of Anya's best lines ever:

Anya: "You know, you were a lot more fun when you didn't have a soul."
Spike: "Oh, come on. Now, I've just explained to you..."
Anya: "All I'm saying is that soulless Spike would have had me upside down and halfway to happyland by now."
3. "Things fall apart. They fall apart so hard. You can't ever ... put them back the way they were. I'm sorry, it's just... You know, it takes time. Can-can we rest now? Buffy...can we rest?"

Answer: Beneath You

Spike said this in "Beneath You". I absolutely loved this scene. Buffy even cried. He went and got a soul for her, wow! I find that really romantic ... plus I love Spike, so hey.

Answer: Spike and Buffy

This was from "Never Leave Me" and The First was talking in the form of Spike and switched to Buffy.
I mean, they're lame morons for fighting, but they do! They never -- they never quit. And so I guess I will keep fighting too." Who did Anya tell this to?

Answer: Andrew

This was in "End of Days" and was followed by Anya and Andrew's hilarious wheelchair fight.
7. "You're always saving everyone. It's kinda pesky. You probably even think you're buying escape time for Jonathan and the other one. Well, I got a little secret for ya. I can kill them from anywhere I want. With this. It'll find them. It'll bury them. Along with anyone helping those Dead Men Walking. Unless somebody, somehow, can get there in time to save them. Huh. Oh, well. Fly, my pretty, fly. See what I did there?" So obviously this is Dark Willow, but in which episode does she say this?

Answer: Grave

Willow sends a fireball after Jonathan and Andrew. (What were you expecting, flying monkeys? That's Andrew's claim to fame.)
8. "But what else could I expect from a bunch of low rent, no account hoodlums like you? Hoodlums! Yes. I mean you and your friends, your whole sex, throw 'em all in the sea for all I care. Throw 'em in and wait for the bubbles. Men, with your groping and spitting, all groin no brain, three billion of ya passin' around the same worn out urge. Men, with your...sales." Who said this?

Answer: Buffy

This was from "Restless" and I had to throw it in because I love this moment. Buffy was a flapper, Riley was "cowboy guy", and Harmony was a milkmaid. The were performing "Death of a Salesman."
9. "Ladies and Gentlemen, our fears have been confirmed. The First Evil has declared an all out war on this institution. The first follies proved most affective. I for one think it's time we struck back. Get me confirmations on all remaining operatives; visuals and tacticals, highest alert. Get them here as soon as possible. Begin preparation for mobilization. Once we're accounted for, I want to be ready to move. We'll be paying a visit to the Hellmouth. My friends, these are the times that define us. Proverbs 24:6, 'For by wise council, you shall make your war.'" Name the Speaker.

Answer: Quentin Travers

It's a little harsh, but I'm glad he blew up. He made me mad sometimes. This quote came from "Never Leave Me". Giles arrives in the following episode with his first batch of Potentials: Molly, Kennedy, and Annabelle.
10. "Things have really sucked lately, but it's all gonna change. And I wanna be there when it does. I want to see my friends happy again. And I want to see you grow up. The woman you're gonna become. Because she's gonna be beautiful. And she's going to be powerful. I got it so wrong. I don't want to protect you from the world. I want to show it to you. There's so much that I want to show you." Who does Buffy say this to?

Answer: Dawn

This quote is from "Grave" after Xander defeated Willow.
11. "Faith, her name alone invokes awe. Faith, a set of principles or beliefs on which you are willing to devote your life. The Dark Slayer, a lethal combination of beauty, power, and death. For years and years, or to be more accurate months, Faith fought on the side of good terrorizing the evil community. But like so many tragic heroes, Faith was seduced by the lure of the Dark Side. She wrapped evil around her like a large, evil, Mexican Serape. She became a cold-blooded killer. Nobody was immune to her trail of destruction -- not friends, not family, not even the most pacifist and logical of races..." Who delivered this monologue?

Answer: Andrew

This was Andrew's reintroduction of Faith in "Dirty Girls". You gotta love him.
12. "Well, there was this one guy. There was this one guy, he, uh, he hurt her real bad. So she paid him back. She killed him, but she did it real slow. See first she stopped his heart, and then she replaced it with darkness. And then she made him live his life like that, but he still had to go do his job, and see his friends, and wake up in the morning, and go to bed at night. But he had to do it all ... empty, without anything to look forward to. Ever." Who does Xander tell this to?

Answer: Andrew

Xander is telling Andrew a story about Anya's past as a Vengeance Demon to scare him in "Never Leave Me".
Andrew responds with: "Sounds bad."
Xander: "Well, then she tore out his intestines and rubbed them in his face and took pictures of it."
Andrew: "Oh, God!"
13. "You've already met Buffy. She's beautiful, with a lion's heart and the face of an Angel. She's never afraid 'cause she knows her side will always win. Buffy and Spike have some kind of history-you can feel the heat between them. Although, technically, as a vampire, he's room temperature. Anya, a feisty waif with a fiery temper and a vulnerable heart that she hides, even from herself. This lovely girl-I don't remember her name-". Name the episode.

Answer: Storyteller

Have I mentioned that Andrew is great? Well, this was another one of his outrageously funny speeches. Andrew gets cut off at the end by Buffy who yells at him for playing with his camcorder again.
14. "Of course she won't understand, Sparky. I'm beyond her understanding. She's a girl. Sugar and spice and everything...useless unless you're baking. I'm more than that. More than flesh...more than blood. I'm... you know, I honestly don't think there's a human word fabulous enough for me. And that's where we're going ... right back to the beginning. Not the Bang ... not the Word ... the true beginning. The next few months are going to be quite a ride. And I think we're all going to learn something about ourselves in the process. You'll learn you're a pathetic schmuck, if it hasn't sunk in already. Look at you. Trying to do what's right, just like her. You still don't get it. It's not about right, not about wrong...it's about power." Who was NOT one of the characters that The First took the form of during this?

Answer: Angelus

That should have been simple. This was the surprise ending from "Lessons". The First took the forms of previous Big Bads from Warren to Glory to Adam to The Mayor to Drusilla to The Master and ended it as Buffy saying the first line of the whole episode: "It's about power."
15. "Dawn, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will *always* love you. But this is the work that I have to do. Tell Giles ... tell Giles I figured it out. And, and I'm okay. And give my love to my friends. You have to take care of them now. You have to take care of each other. You have to be strong. Dawn, the hardest thing in this world ... is to live in it. Be brave. 16. "You really do think you're better than we are. But we don't know. We don't know if you're actually better. I mean, you came into the world with certain advantages, sure. I mean, that's the legacy. But you didn't earn it. You didn't work for it. Who says this?

Answer: Anya

Anya says this in "Empty Places" when Buffy wants to go back to the vineyard where potentials died, got hurt, and Xander lost an eye. Nobody is pleased with her decision.

Answer: Angelus and Passion

This monologue was a voice over split up into three parts, and spaced out throughout the episode. When most people think of "Buffy" monologues, Angelus' "Passion" monologue usually comes to mind. It is a classic on it's own.
18. "'And there will be a time of crisis, of worlds hanging in the balance. And in this time shall come the Anointed, the Master's great warrior. And the Slayer will not know him, will not stop him, and he will lead her into Hell.' As it is written, so shall it be. The Anointed will be my greatest weapon against the Slayer! If you fail to bring him to me, if you allow that girl to stop you... Here endeth the lesson." Who said it?

Answer: The Master

This was from way back in season 1. The Master said this in "Never Kill A Boy On the First Date". Buffy thinks she killed the Anointed but in fact, The Anointed One isn't killed until Spike comes and does it himself in season 2's 'School Hard".

Answer: Faith

This quote came from "This Year's Girl". Faith woke up out of her coma and harassed Buffy, her family, and her friends.

Answer: Spike

This was from "Touched." I love this moment. Buffy was feeling down that she got kicked out and replaced by Faith. Spike gave her the strength to keep fighting, and to win.
Buffy responds with: "I don't want to be the one."
Spike then says: "I don't want to be this good looking and athletic; we all have our crosses to bear."
