Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which city is declared destroyed after the Blizz attacks?

Answer: New York City

This story opens up with a birthday party. All seems to be going fine until the festivities are interrupted by dark skies. Soon, everyone in the yard is running for the house as something begins to fall on them, burning away their skin. A mother and her two children make it inside and lock the doors to save themselves while everyone else is outside feeling the burn.
The mother wakes up in the future, having remembered the scene from a dream. Her daughter mentions that no one has come to their place for a while and asks how they'll keep up. The mother says that their father left them some money and that she doesn't remember her dreams anymore.
Later, when they listen to the radio, they are told that the death count in America has reached nine million people from terrorist 'Blizz' attacks, and that New York and L.A. are destroyed.
2. In the beginning of the episode, Boxx and Jak, end up holding an elderly couple at gunpoint. What do they do this for?

Answer: To get blood

Two teenagers on motorcycles end up ambushing an elderly couple on the street and they ask which one of them is older. They decide to use the woman over the man and they quickly puncture her arm and take her blood. When they both drive off, she curses them, telling them that they should die.
The scene goes back to the mother and daughter, Kate and Peggy, and they hear the news report that more than fifty people have been murdered in the town of Muskeet. Kate mentions it should be burnt to the ground before Peggy asks her mother what her father was like. Peggy's father went off to war before she was born, and never returned.
After this, a woman comes in to Kate's diner with a veil over her face. Kate quickly ushers her out and Peggy follows with food, offering it to her when she leaves. She lifts her veil to reveal hideous scars as a result of the Blizz.
3. What do Jak and Boxx order at Kate and Peggy's diner?

Answer: Coffee

When the woman leaves, Peggy and Kate head to the back of the diner and Jak, Boxx, and their girls come in and sit down. Peggy decides to serve them, and while she does, Jak shows her some respect while Boxx and their girlfriends don't. Jak tells her to get them all black coffee and 'the works' while Boxx asks for a lot of crushed ice.

He later tells Jak it's for the blood. Meanwhile, in an alley somewhere nearby, a van containing two men in grey jumpsuits backs towards a dumpster. They get out and unload their contents, three shocked, naked bodies, into the trash nearby, making jokes about the way they act in that state.

They then fill the dumpster with gasoline and set it ablaze.
4. Peggy forces Jak and his friends to leave her mother's diner.

Answer: False

Back at the diner, Jak asks Peggy if she ever really gets to leave the diner. She says that she doesn't as her mother says there really isn't much left of the world. Jak, opposes this though. He says if you know where to look, there's plenty of places to go.

He says that if he's around late at night, he may see her somewhere. When Peggy comments that his girlfriend is sitting at the table, he replies that she's not really a girlfriend. Peggy, on the other hand, is something he rarely sees. When Jak goes back to his table, Kate comes out of the kitchen and talks to Peggy before telling the gang that they're closing early.

After making rude remarks to Kate, they finally leave, and she comments that they smell like they came from Muskeet.

She also says she has to be what her father and sister wanted her to be, since she is the future of their family.
5. What is the name of Peggy's sister?

Answer: Anna

Jak and Boxx bring their found blood to the Doom Room, where they give it to the ringmaster of the odd events that go on there. He is simply known as The MC. Meanwhile, Peggy finds her mother having a nightmare in bed, and she writes a note to say that she's leaving.

She goes to the diner and finds Jak inside. They talk about what both of them do, how California no longer exists, and the fact that she's wearing lipstick, which she claims was her sister, Anna's. Boxx and Celia drive up to the diner in a rather loud convertible, and although Peggy says that her mother would be worried sick about her whereabouts, she is coerced into taking a ride with the punks of Muskeet.
6. How old was Peggy when Blizz fell on her birthday party?

Answer: Seven

While Jak, Boxx, Celia, and Peggy speed through the abandoned streets in their car, they each take shots of a drug that allows them to see what's in the deep parts of their minds. Peggy is the last to take her shot and she blacks out.
The flashback she has is of her seventh birthday party where her mother is taking her picture. Her sister, Anna, is complaining that their father isn't there. Soon, they see Blizz being dropped in the sky, making it dark. As the three of them make it to safety, the mothers and daughters outside are burned to death and horribly disfigured by the black, ash-like Blizz falling from the sky. One woman, who is revealed to be the woman that Peggy helped outside the diner, attempted to unlock the door to their house by breaking in the windows, but Kate wouldn't dare help her, for fear of the chemical.
Peggy wakes up from her dream soon after and tells Jak. Evidently, she had only been out for a few minutes.
7. What type of music is played at the Doom Room?

Answer: Heavy metal

Boxx and Celia decide to drive into Muskeet, and despite Peggy's protests, they do not take her home. Instead, they drive to the Doom Room for a performance to give Peggy a thrill.
Kate wakes up from another Blizz nightmare in her bed and quickly rushes to find Peggy. When she finds she's not in her room, she quickly gathers her knife and gets dressed to find her daughter.
As the four drive through Muskeet, Peggy is frightened by the people she sees walking through the streets. Gunshots ring out, firedancers walk alongside the car, and Peggy smells 'Muskeet' in the air.
Jak says they're going to the Doom Room to do a little business, and he says he'll protect her at all costs.
8. When one man at the Doom Room attempts to sexually assault Peggy, what does Jak do to him?

Answer: Breaks his finger

The four take their seat in the Doom Room and the MC takes care of the show, telling the audience the legal side of things and telling them to enjoy the show. Jak and Boxx go off to talk to the MC and he tells them that the blood they brought last time was close to water and therefore useless for their show.

He claims that his patrons are entitled to real plasma as it's what makes the show work. As for their most recent draining, the MC says he'll use it in the next show. If it works, he'll pay them, if it doesn't, he'll make them drink it. Jak and Boxx return to their front-row seats to find a man sexually assaulting Peggy. Jak keeps true to his work and attacks the man, protecting Peggy in the process.

It's at this point the MC returns.
9. What is the main attraction of the Doom Room, which Peggy is forced to witness?

Answer: The L. U. P. Dance

When the MC returns to the stage, he gets the crowd going for his ghastly feature presentation, and the main event of the club, known as The L. U. P.
As the MC leaves the stage, Peggy begs Jak to leave, but he tells her they have to watch the end of the show. What occurs next is what she doesn't expect.
On the stage is a human corpse. The MC goes to explain that on the battlefields of World War III, soldiers remained standing after they had been killed due to a chemical imbalance causing them to spasm, gyrate, and physically stay 'undead'. This became known as the LUP-ey Dance. The chemical that causes humans to do this has been extracted and distilled and is now used in scientific studies, exclusively. Or so they think. The Doom Room has it now, and the LUPs are on display to show their dance to the viewing public.
Using electric rods, the performers are able to stimulate the cells of the corpse, causing them to spasm, and make it look like the corpse can dance. This is the dance of the dead.
10. In the end, who performs the dance in the Doom Room?

Answer: Kate

The MC has the first 'dancer' dragged off the stage before explaining that these Lifeless Undead Phenomenon are all the rage in the town of Muskeet. Peggy is soon shocked to know that her sister, Anna, who was thought to be missing, has turned up as the second dancer of the night on the stage of the Doom Room. When Peggy realizes her sister's fate, Anna falls over the bars of the stage and onto her table. Jak helps Peggy by taking Boxx's gun and carrying her sister out of the club and they get to the street of Muskeet. The MC follows close behind though and along the way, they also find Kate, who wandered into the town to find her daughter.
Startled by the MC, Jak shoots one of his bouncers and the MC decides to expose the truth. He explains that Anna is dead, first and foremost, and there's nothing that Peggy can do to save her. Secondly, she's his property. He tells Peggy to ask her mother about that one.
Kate quickly tries to attack the MC, but he knocks her down with his gun and tells the story. Tired of running back and forth to retrieve Anna, who had turned for the worse when her father never returned from the war (and her mother somewhat neglected her), she sought refuge and entertainment at the Doom Room. Anna ODed on drugs, and Kate left her with the MC to get money out of it to survive.
Now that the MC is out one body, and has one ruined show, Peggy decides to make things right. She starts off by burying her sister, who may or may not have deserved to be an L.U.P. To get Jak off the hook with the MC, she volunteers to put her mother in her sister's place. Blending into the gangster crowds of Muskeet, she now watches the dance of the dead in the Doom Room- and her deceptive mother is the star of the show.
