The show 'EastEnders' first aired on February 19, 1985 in the United Kingdom.
2. What is the name of the fictional tube station that services Albert Square?

A little trivia here, the fictional London suburb Walford is a made up location. However it appears on the map that 'EastEnders' uses as being where the actual city of Bromley-by-Bow is supposed to be in real life.
3. What is postal code for Walford?

Answer: E20

The club has had numerous names like the Market Cellar, Cobra Club and The E20 which was given this name by Steve Owen. In regards to the name E20, this is the fictional postal code for the area of London the show is to take place in. In reality, the postal code for East London only goes to E18 but the producers thought E20 sounded better than E19 and hence the name.

Answer: Legg

Dr. Harold Legg was played by actor Leonard Fenton. Unlike others, he was fortunate to retire and not die off. He was replaced by Dr. Fred Fonseca, played by actor Jimi Mistry.

Answer: Daniella Westbrook

Daniella Westbrook is a sad testimony to the world of cocaine addiction. It caused her to be dismissed from the show three times until finally it was decided that her addiction was just too hard to work around. On the third chance, her nose was so destroyed from cocaine that the film crew had to be careful in the angle they filmed her so as not to catch her eroded nasal septum.
6. This character brought the realities of HIV+ to the homes of many. Who was he?

Answer: Mark Fowler

The character of Mark Fowler died of AIDS on the 12th of April 2004. He was a good guy always standing for what was right. He went off to die alone so that his family did not have to watch him deteriorate. The first actor to play this role was David Scaboro, but he was replaced after his last appearance on Christmas Day 1987. Sadly he committed suicide in 1988.

The next actor to fill the role as Mark was Todd Carty and he held that role till the character's death, which drew the largest viewing crowd to date at that time at 1.03 million people.
7. Who killed Barry Evans?

Answer: Janine

Natalie was Barry's wife and she left him with their son Jack. After a turn for the worse mentally, Barry was wooed by conniving Janine only to have her kill him in Scotland.

There were plenty of good story lines with this family involved but the best of them all was the dimension that Jules offered. It's interesting that after the departure of this Trinidadian, the show brought in another flamboyant Trinidadian in the character of Patrick Truaman. Some how the islanders spice up the show.

Ashley was the son of Nick, the only son of Dot Cotton. Nick was trouble from the word go and he had a long time feud with once friend Mark Fowler. They had a bad meet up when they both came back to the square and Nick sabotaged the brakes of Mark's motorcycle. The plan backfired when Ashley stole the bike and crashed into the wall, killing him instantly.

Kelvin was a friend of young Ian, Michelle and Sharon. His character lasted two seasons.

Surprised? She was mentioned in the first few episodes but her debut did not occur till episode #40. June Brown has played this character from the beginning.

Big Ron was played by actor Ron Farr. His longevity on the show was impressive from being one of the originals in 1985 till his death in 1997. Ron Farr actually died of cancer and the show wrote his character out by claiming he won 500,000 pounds in a lottery and that he took up and left for Spain.
14. What was the name of the eldest brother of Pauline Fowler?

Answer: Kenny Beale

Kenny was the brother who lived in New Zealand that Pauline would visit throughout the show.
15. Who was faulted with Roley's death?

Answer: Mandy

Roley was the mascot of the Queen Vic Pub, Mandy was a teenage girl who was abandoned on the Square by her mother. Mandy was always stirring up trouble and was generally at fault, so when the accident happened with Roley, no one took sympathy on her.
