Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. While in jail, Brad Wilczek refers to a certain scientist when telling Mulder about his refusal to work for the US Government. Which scientist did he refer to?

Answer: Robert Oppenheimer

Wilczek mentions Robert Oppenheimer, one of the developers of the atomic bomb, who was devastated to see how his creation was used by the government.
2. At what time did the phone in Benjamin Drake's bathroom ring?

Answer: 7:35pm Eastern Standard Time

The computerized voice tells Drake that "At the tone, Eastern Standard Time will be 7:35pm", and the C.O.S. locks the bathroom door. Also, the episode takes place in Virginia, which is on Eastern Standard Time, and Drake was finishing up his report to the Board, when it was already dark outside.
3. When Jerry Lamana comes into the office looking for Mulder in the beginning of the episode, what is the time of the day?

Answer: 1 p.m.

As Jerry looks around, he passes a wall clock that reads "1 p.m.". He also buys Mulder and Scully lunch, attempting to get on their good side.
4. Lamana was on probation for a huge mistake he made while handling another case. How long was his probation supposed to be?

Answer: Six months

Lamana tells Mulder that he is on a six month probation. For obvious reasons, his probation ends early.
5. Lamana was trying hard to solve the case of Benjamin Drake's death because he wanted to show off in front of Drake's friend. Who was that person, according to Lamana?

Answer: the Attorney General

When Mulder initially rejects Jerry's request for help, Lamana asks him again saying that "not only Drake was a CEO of a Fortune-500 company, he was also a good friend of the Attorney General. A feather in my cap would be nice".
6. What is Scully's home phone number?

Answer: 202-555-6431

The C.O.S. finds it after stopping the elevator, which forces Scully to call the security desk during which time she says her full name. Scully's number appears on the display of the C.O.S. Scully later says her home number to the FBI operator.
7. The psychological profile of the killer developed by Mulder, and stolen by Lamana, suggests a particular type of behavior by the murder suspect. What is that type?

Answer: Sociopathic

Mulder concludes that the rare nature of a murder by electrocution, coupled with its complexity, suggests sociopathic behavior. I always enjoy the scene where Lamana stumbles to read the words that are too smart for him.
8. According to Mulder, what is Brad Wilczek's IQ?

Answer: 220

Mulder (hard to tell if he is joking or if he researched it) tells Scully (upon observing Wilczek's lavish property) about Wilczek's IQ of 220, and the $400M severance settlement he apparently got for selling his share of Eurisko.
9. After Lamana's death, Mulder tries accessing Wilczek's house, but the Department of Defense agents in suits don't let him. What level of clearance do they demand from Mulder to let him through?

Answer: Code 5

Mulder doesn't have the required clearance and they force him to leave.
10. After the C.O.S. tries accessing Scully's home computer the second time, Scully is woken up by a strange phone call. Scully calls the FBI to run a trace on the call and mentions her I.D. number. What is the number that she mentions to the operator?

Answer: 2317-616

Her badge number in later episodes would actually become JTT0331613, but in this episode she specifically says "ID 2317-616".
