George moved out towards the end of season three and Alex moved in. Izzie objected to Alex moving in, but Meredith invited him.

She has an appendectomy. While drugged up on the painkillers, she had a chat with Addison about she knew Derek was "the one" for her.

She appeared in an early episode of the season where she told Alex that she has superpowers. Her power was that she couldn't feel pain; she was always getting injuries because she wanted to test and prove her power.

Denny left her over eight million dollars when he died. Izzie didn't cash the check for a long time because she wanted to do something good with it. She ended up helping pay for the surgery of a teenage girl with a curved spine, because the family's insurance wouldn't pay for it, and then she used the rest to help Dr. Bailey open the hospital's free clinic.
