After failure once again to make meatballs for Raymond just like Marie's, (despite an entire afternoon of Marie teaching the secret to her) Deborah is packing the box of ingredients and ready to give up. "What are you running away to cooking school?" Ray asks her as he walks in.

While Deb is angrily shaking a bottle of spice at Raymond, the fake label comes off and they both realize what Marie has done. "Who's the nut case now Ray, who's the nut case now!"

In this episode, Ray buys Deb some "magic pills" to help her moodiness. Needless to say, it makes her even more enraged with him than before. Deb suggests that Ray hug her once in a while.
"A hug! This...this is not huggable. This is the person who shows up once a month to rip into me like a monkey on a cupcake!"

This episode is a hilarious demonstration of the male mind. Ray, despite actually trying several times to turn his friend down and feeling guilty about the situation falls into the trap when the new waitress leans in to grate the cheese.
"Say when..."
Raymond, eyebrows perked and a bashful grin of satisfaction allows a mountain of cheese to be grated before finally having to tell her it is enough.

Boulders are what Ray "swaps" for in order to get the boys another part besides fairies. Since Frank is already convinced of the twins being riddled with "homosexual tendencies", it really makes a great comical scene. In the end, the boys do play fairies. Just a tid-bit of useless info here, when Ray is playing a classical music piece on the tape player for the boys to practice with, I noticed that the music is from the old Gregory Peck movie, "The Yearling".

Deborah is running for school president and at a banquet she is to campaign at, Raymond is seen stocking up on beef tenderloins... "I have always loved beef! And I've always tried to get as much of it as I could at any function!"
When everyone turns to stare at Ray, he stuffs the meat and bread down into his pants pockets, infuriating and humiliating Deborah.
"I'm your husband, you're supposed to support me no matter what's in my pants!"

Deborah's old high school boyfriends, including one named Brad, has given her many gifts over the years. Raymond is outraged that his house is cluttered with mementos of Deb's former love life. One gift is a white picture frame, which Deborah has put a picture of the children in.
"You put that frame around a picture of OUR CHILDREN?....wait a minute..."
"They're our kids Ray."

In the episode "Favors", Ray receives a letter personally addressed from Mohammad Ali. Deb yells at Ray at the beginning of the show about how he never puts things away. Ray, remembering this after receiving the letter of a lifetime, puts the letter away in a kitchen drawer to protect it. Deborah comes in later and empties the drawer into the trash. Ray's letter is gone forever.

Ray panics as he realizes the horrible truth that Ally's pet hamster has been frozen to death while having a chocolate feast. He tries to buy a similar-looking hamster, but Ally doesn't buy it. Ultimately the family has a funeral for Pumpernickel; even Frank cries! Ray realizes how grown up Ally has become and they live happily ever after-- without a hamster.

It's Robert who assumes Deborah killed Marie when he strolls through the jail halls and spots Deborah. But Ray is half-asleep when Deb calls.
"Alright, I'll be right there...hey, have you seen my brown belt?"
"Ray!"
"Ah...okay okay!"

Robert finally gets frustrated with not making it, so he takes an entire handful and throws them at the bowl, winning the game.

This is the episode where an evil plot is unveiled...Marie is trying to seduce Robbie and Amy into making grandchildren! Raymond is asked by Marie to put in windows at the beginning of the episode, and as he's doing so, Robert (not knowing Ray was in the window watching) begins making sexy faces and poses in the mirror.
"Oh take it all off!" Ray says, scaring Robert to death. That is when they begin talking about all the nice stuff that Marie has done for Amy and Robert, leading to the discovery of the master baby plot.

Ray is really annoyed by Gerard's negativity and whiny voice. When Deborah points out that Ray is the same way, Ray tries to deepen his voice and pronounce things properly. In his basement-office, Ray works with Gerard on pronouncing the word "now", and instead of Gerard mimicking Ray, Ray ends up speaking like Gerard without realizing it.

Deborah tries frantically to convince the man in the meeting that she had no intention of driving, and that the car wasn't even running.
"And my hands were like this..." she puts them together and against her face. "That clearly shows that I had intent to...nap."
After Marie tries to help in the situation, the officer says, "I now believe that you had intent to nap."

Marie brings up the time that she had this beautiful golden fat for cooking with, and how Frank threw it out so he could use the jar for loose change. That gets the ball rolling for an entirely new battle over which is more important, the male role or female role in the family. Frank surprisingly wins the point in the argument.
