She returned to South Korea in the 1990s where her breakout role was in the first blockbuster film made in South Korea called "Shiri" in 1999.

After a few more film roles she landed the role of Sun Kwon on the television series "Lost". After "Lost" she starred in "Mistresses" in 2013.

After that film he was cast in the television series "Oz" then went on to "The Mummy Returns", "The Bourne Identity", and "Unstoppable".
