Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Episode #251 "Breaking Up Is Easy to Do: Part 3": Why does Peggy break up with her new boyfriend Bruce?

Answer: He wants her to do work

Things begin to become serious between Peggy and Bruce. Peggy hopes to marry the rich Bruce so she never has to do anything ever again. Kelly and Bud are appalled to learn that Bruce wants them to be independent and move out on their own without any help from him.

This does not bother Peggy at all. What does bother Peggy is that Bruce expects her to cook, do housework and possibly get a job once they are married. Peggy dumps Bruce as a result and soon afterwards reunites with Al.
2. Episode #252 "Live Nude Peg": What is the name Peggy adopts when she secretly becomes a stripper at the club Al goes to?

Answer: Jasmine

Peggy grows frustrated when Al pays no interest in her and would rather go to the nudie bar to judge a contest. Peggy secretly enters the contest under the name Jasmine and uses a veil to cover her face. Peggy wins the contest and Al falls smitten for Jasmine.

This continues for several nights until Marcy tells Peggy that Al is in love with Jasmine not her. It doesn't matter that Peggy and Jasmine are the same person since Al does not know that. Peggy then develops a plan to rid Jasmine.
3. Episode #253 "A Babe in Toyland": What is the name of the kids TV show host whom Kelly replaces in this episode?

Answer: Uncle Dudley

Bud gets Kelly a job playing a princess on a children's TV show called Uncle Dudley's Playhouse. Uncle Dudley suffers a nervous breakdown on set in front of the children and Kelly has to fill in. Princess Kelly is an instant hit but Kelly soon takes over the entire show, replacing many of the characters with hunky men and making everything about her.

She also ridicules many of the children and uses an insulting puppet named Budrick to jeer Bud with. Meanwhile, Al demands he and Peggy have separate beds.
4. Episode #254 "Birthday Boy Toy": After feeling old and unattractive on his birthday, Jefferson takes up which hobby he learns from Peg?

Answer: Home shopping

Jefferson begins feeling insecure that he is losing his looks as he gets older. He confides this in Peggy who teaches him about home shopping. Jefferson begins spending Marcy's money like crazy, which angers her. She forces him to get a job to pay the money back. Jefferson begins teaching aerobics and the women there love him for his good looks. Jefferson begins to feel better but now Marcy is upset that the younger women are taking up all his time at work.

Meanwhile, Bud films a commercial for Gary's Shoes starring Kelly and Al. However, Al's acting is terrible and he is replaced by Griff. Al begins sabotaging the shoots, jealous that his children replaced him.
5. Episode #255 "Damn Bundys": What deal did Al make with the Devil in exchange for his soul?

Answer: Al can take the Bears to the Super Bowl

While watching the NFL Draft with Jefferson, Al comments that he would sell his soul to the Devil for the chance to play for the Chicago Bears. The Devil arrives and offers to allow Al to take the Bears to the Super Bowl in exchange for his soul. Al agrees.

However, the Devil tricks him. Al does lead the Bears to the Super Bowl but the Devil says he never agreed to let Al play in the Super Bowl in takes him to Hell for the big game. Al is joined in Hell by his family and the Darcys. Al demands to be sent back to Earth and the Devil agrees if Al can score in a game of football against Hell's fiercest warriors.
6. Episode #256 "Lez Be Friends": What is the name of Marcy's cousin who visits and announces she is a lesbian?

Answer: Mandy

Amanda Bearse, who plays Marcy, came out as a lesbian near the beginning of the show's run. However, this not widely known to the public because Bearse plays a straight character. This episode serves as something as a coming out event for her.

Bearse plays dual roles in this episode: Marcy and her cousin Mandy. Mandy is visiting from San Francisco and strikes up a friendship with Al. This bothers Marcy because the two used to be good friends when they were children but Mandy always stole Marcy's boyfriends and friends and this is continuing as adults. Marcy grows furious when Mandy comes out as a lesbian because Mandy stole all Marcy's boyfriends but was never interested in them.
7. Episode #257 "The Desperate Half-Hour": Who holds up the Bundys, Darcys and Griff at gunpoint?

Answer: Bud's prison pen pal Starla

In this two part episode, Bud is excited because his prison pen pal Starla is out of jail and coming to visit. However, Starla thinks Bud is rich and plans to rob him. She is accompanied in this endeavor by her dim-witted boyfriend Lonnie. When Starla and Lonnie arrive, they hold Bud, Peggy and Kelly hostage. Over the course of the episode, Marcy, Jefferson and Griff arrive and are also taken hostage. Al, who spent much of this episode in the bathroom, is believed to be their last hope.

But he too is taken captive.

When the police arrive, Starla threatens to start shooting. She shoots Al but he is saved by his lucky shoehorn. Meanwhile, Lonnie has fallen in love with Kelly and turns on Starla.
8. Episode #258 "How to Marry a Moron": Which person did Lonnie flirt with that caused Al and Kelly to call off the wedding?

Answer: Marcy

Lonnie is released from jail almost immediately after the events of the last episode and his wedding to Kelly is still on. Al is angry with this but is more than happy to consent when he learns Lonnie is the heir to the Weenie Tot fortune. However, Lonnie is a philanderer and Al catches him at the strip club with multiple other women. Later just before the wedding, Lonnie tries to kiss Marcy but she slaps him and tells Al and Peggy. Al immediately stops the wedding and refuses to let Kelly marry Lonnie. Kelly agrees after finding Lonnie's ways out and that he hid the fact that he had already been divorced several times.

Although this is not the last episode to air, it is generally considered to be the show's series finale. The show canceled abruptly and this episode was meant to be just a regular season finale. The finale episode to air was "Great Chicago Shoe Exchange" which aired over a month after this one. It had originally been meant to air earlier but had to be pushed back.
9. Episode #259 "Great Chicago Shoe Exchange": Al and Griff begin a mall-wide bartering system so Al can buy what item?

Answer: A massage chair

Al sees an expensive massage chair for sale in another store at the mall. Since he cannot afford it outright, he offers the manager a trade. The manager wants a set of golf clubs from the sporting goods store. Al and Griff trade the manager of that store shoes for the clubs. Al gets his massage chair and soon the entire mall is engaged in bartering.

The shoe store is eventually left without any shoes. Meanwhile, Bud falls injured and Kelly's massage techniques only make it worse.
10. In the special episode called "My Favorite Married", the cast discussed their favorite episodes. Who did the cast say was their favorite guest star?

Answer: Vanna White

Vanna White guest starred in the episode "The Proposition" as an old lover of Al's who tries to buy him back from Peggy for a half million dollars. All six cast members present said Vanna was the nicest person they ever had on set. Honorable mention went to Sam Kinison who appeared as Al's guardian angel in "It's a Bundyful Life Part 2".

The cast said Sam had shown up late to rehearsal and sent dancers and a party as an apology.
