What does bother Peggy is that Bruce expects her to cook, do housework and possibly get a job once they are married. Peggy dumps Bruce as a result and soon afterwards reunites with Al.

He tells a wild west story about the evilness of computers and how much Al hates computers.

At the cash register, the Bundys cut in front of Marcy and win the millionth customer shopping spree prize but Marcy argues it is hers.

She secretly takes birth control pills so she cannot get pregnant.

Instead, Al shaves Buck's fur, dyes it red and gives that to the woman who is none the wiser.

When Steve and Marcy come back from New York, they are forced to move in with the Bundys. Meanwhile, Kelly invites her friends over for a slumber party.

Peggy, already feeling old from celebrating another birthday, is further dismayed to learn her bra has been discontinued. After several failed attempts, Peggy is forced to come to terms that she will never find a perfect new bra. Steve tells Al he knows a place in Wisconsin that might have Peggy's old bras and the two travel there to find them. This episode is the one that made "Married...with Children" famous. In the early seasons of the show, Fox (the station that aired the show) was only available in a few media markets. A woman in Michigan named Terry Rakolta petitioned Fox to cancel the show because of the subject of this episode which included (among other things) Al and Steve's risqué trip to the lingerie store. Advertisers began dropping their sponsorship as a result. However, Rakolta's outcry only made the show more popular as people from around the country wanted to see what all the fuss was about and the rating jump dramatically and launched the show into the national spotlight.

The family is forced to sleep in the shoe store because their house has to be fumigated and Al is too cheap to stay in a hotel. Meanwhile, Kelly is grounded because she is failing out of school. Kelly intends to sneak out of the shoe store so she can attend a concert, but this is easily said than done since Al has the only key she needs to exit the store.

Faced with the reality that Al was right, Marcy cannot get him out of her head. She starts dreaming about Al at night, including going to bed with him. She also has dreams where Steve suddenly appears as Al.

Peggy secretly enters the contest under the name Jasmine and uses a veil to cover her face. Peggy wins the contest and Al falls smitten for Jasmine. This continues for several nights until Marcy tells Peggy that Al is in love with Jasmine not her. It doesn't matter that Peggy and Jasmine are the same person since Al does not know that. Peggy then develops a plan to rid Jasmine.

While on vacation in Branson, Missouri, the Bundys have no money. In order to win a $500 contest, Peggy and Kelly form the Juggs, a mother-daughter country duo. They win the contest and country singer Tammy Wynette is interested in touring with them for a year. However, the Bundys' squabbles put that in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Marcy and Jefferson are asked to watch Lucky and wind up roleplaying as Al and Peggy.
