Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. After "Resistance", this was the NEXT episode where Janeway is seen out of her Starfleet uniform.

Answer: Threshold

Janeway remained in her uniform all throughout the very next episode, "Prototype". But two episodes later in "Threshold", the captain is seen wearing one of the trademark blue surgical gowns when she and Paris are recovering in sickbay after their Warp 10 shuttle experience...and an unforgettable one at that, as they both evolve into amphibian-like creatures resembling something like that of a cross between a frog and a catfish.
2. After "Future's End, Part 1", this was the NEXT episode where Chakotay is seen out of his Starfleet uniform.

Answer: The Q And The Grey

In the conclusion to the mid-third season two-parter, Chakotay is out of the suit that he wore while in Los Angeles on Earth and back in his usual red Starfleet uniform, even when he and B'Elanna crash land down in Arizona. Chakotay remains in his uniform all throughout the episode following that one: "Warlord". So the next episode to be considered is "The Q And The Grey", which is when he, Tuvok, Paris and Harry all transport into the Q Continuum to help in the civil war being waged between the omnipotent aliens.

The guys are all dressed in uniforms comparable to those worn by soldiers during Earth's Colonial Period.
3. After "Waking Moments", this was the NEXT episode where Tuvok is seen out of his Starfleet uniform.

Answer: Prey

This is a tricky one! Firstly, there were a couple of 'moments' during "Waking Moments" where Tuvok is seen out of his uniform: at the very beginning of the episode, when he is completely nude during his 'nightmare', then at the very end, when he's dressed in his Vulcan evening rope. Tuvok remains in his uniform during the next two episodes: "Message In A Bottle" and "Hunters".

But in "Prey", we see Tuvok--along with Seven, Chakotay and Paris--wearing the special environmental suits as they are traversing the darkened, artificial gravity-compromised corridors while helping the Hirogen hunter to search for the wounded Species 8472 creature.
4. After "The Killing Game, Part 2", this was the NEXT episode where B'Elanna is seen out of her Starfleet uniform.

Answer: Drone

Pretty much everybody in the "Killing Game" two-parter had the chance to be out of uniform, including B'Elanna as the pregnant lover to the Nazi commandant. She was back in her uniform (albeit a modified one to accommodate the pregnant Roxanne Dawson in real life!) for the duration of the next episode, "Vis À Vis", and continued making onscreen appearances in that same modified uniform for the remainder of the fourth season; therefore, that eliminates both "The Omega Directive" and "Hope And Fear" as being correct answers to this question.

In "Night", the fifth-season opener, B'Elanna is wearing her uniform the whole time as well, but that is not the case in the follow-up, "Drone". In a humorous moment early on in this episode where the 29th-century Borg 'One' is born, B'Elanna is winding down in her quarters following the away mission.

She strips out of her uniform and is about to take a sonic shower when the Doctor contacts her, his image appearing on a small screen on the shower's wall panel, demanding that he know the status of his malfunctioned mobile emitter.

A furious B'Elanna ignores him, throwing a towel over the screen in disgust to block the Doctor's view as she exits the shower.
5. After "Scientific Method", this was the NEXT episode where Paris is seen out of his Starfleet uniform.

Answer: Year Of Hell, Part 2

At the end of "Scientific Method", following all of the experimental madness caused by the aliens, Paris and B'Elanna are both out of their uniforms while they are on a romantic dinner date in Paris's quarters. In the following episode, "Year Of Hell, Part 1", Paris remained in uniform, but it's in the episode's second part when he is next seen out of uniform.

While he and Chakotay are being held captive on board the Krenim time-ship, they are both out of their uniforms and have since changed into stylish Krenim formal wear, courtesy of Annorax.
6. After "Timeless", this was the NEXT episode where Harry is seen out of his Starfleet uniform.

Answer: Thirty Days

In Voyager's 100th episode, we see the futuristic Harry wearing civilian clothes while he, Chakotay and Chakotay's lover, Tessa Omond, are on a mission to change the events of the disaster resulting from the experimental quantum slipstream drive. Harry, however, is back in uniform in the next two episodes: "Infinite Regress" and "Nothing Human"; thus, the former is eliminated as being one of the correct answers.

The third episode following "Timeless" is "Thirty Days", which is where we see him and Paris on the holodeck dressed for playing their roles as Captain Proton and Buster Kincaid, respectively, on the holodeck with the infamous Delaney sister twins.
7. After "Scientific Method", this was the NEXT episode where the Doctor appears to be dressed in something OTHER THAN his Starfleet medical uniform.

Answer: The Bride Of Chaotica!

In "Scientific Method", the Doctor had been dressed in vintage Italian clothes while taking part in the Leonardo Da Vinci program on the holodeck, secretly contacting Seven via her Borg implants in order to avoid suspicion by the aliens. Surprisingly, the Doctor would be seen wearing his usual blue Starfleet medical uniform in every fourth-season episode thereafter, and would not be seen out of his uniform in the fifth season until midway through during the full-length "Captain Proton" adventure, "The Bride Of Chaotica!".

In this episode, Voyager's EMH briefly appears on 'Planet X' as the president of Earth, dressed in a suit, fedora and eyeglasses while he attempts to negotiate with the photonic aliens.
8. Neelix has prepared a drink in the mess hall, that at least one member of the senior staff either disapproves of or won't consume at all, in all of the following episodes...except this one.

Answer: 11:59

There were many times throughout the series where Voyager's resident Talaxian concocted something that didn't quite turn out right. In "The Cloud", the episode where Janeway's former private dining room has been turned into a kitchen, Neelix tries to convince the captain to try a 'special coffee blend' that ends up looking more like some sort of dark, muddy goo. Janeway is saved from drinking any of the murky substance, however, when she is called to the bridge; Neelix then pours himself a cup of his own creation, savoring every sticky drop of it.

Another 'bad coffee incident' occurs in "Waking Moments", when Paris enters the mess hall hoping to get a cup of fresh brew from the Talaxian morale officer. Voyager's conn officer instead gets a cup of cooking oil, which he promptly spits out.

When Paris complains to Neelix about it, the Talaxian apologies, explaining that recent nightmares has led to lack of sleep and, thus, lack of concentration in the kitchen. Neelix does eventually pour him a real cup of coffee, with Tom suggesting that one is poured for Neelix himself to stay awake.

Then in "Year Of Hell, Part 2", Neelix has concocted a drink for himself and his comrades using only basic ingredients, as Voyager's low power supply due to its heavily-damaged state has prevented the usage of the replicator system. Despite Neelix's enthusiasm, frowned faces are the initial reactions that he gets when everyone takes a sip, Seven adding that the concoction is offensive. So that leaves "11:59" to be considered. At the end of this episode, Neelix, Seven and the senior staff has gathered in the mess hall to help Janeway celebrate the ' Ancestor's Eve ' holiday. And for the special occasion, Neelix has poured everyone glasses of bubbly champagne. Nobody's complaining about what Neelix is serving up this time around.
9. Kes is treating a humanoid lifeform in sickbay in all of the following episodes...except this one.

Answer: Darkling

As the Doctor's assistant, Kes often was required to help treat patients, whether under the Doctor's supervision or on her own. In "The Swarm", the alien man rescued from the ship that sustained heavy damage due to attacks by the mysterious 'swarm' was in need of medical attention. With the Doctor having suffered 'memory loss' as the result of his circuits being overloaded, Kes must take over in treating the man, using various medical devices around the biobed.

Unfortunately, the treatment only helps for a short while; the man dies anyway, as his injuries were too severe.

In "Favorite Son", after the battle with the Nasari at the beginning of the episode leaves Harry with a nasty cut to his forehead, Voyager's operations officer heads to sickbay for treatment.

The Doctor is already busy treating B'Elanna for her injuries, so Kes walks over to Harry to heal his cut using a dermal regenerator herself. Then in "The Gift", Kes uses her increased psychokinetic powers to remove a microscopic Borg implant that is preventing an unconscious Seven, who at this time was still a Borg drone, from completely healing and regaining her original Human genes. So that leaves "Darkling" to be considered.

As Kes spends much of her time in this episode with Zahir, her new love interest, down on the homeworld of the Mikhal Travelers, there's very few moments when she is even in sickbay at all. And in none of those few moments is she treating anybody; it's the Doctor who treats B'Elanna for her injuries (and causes her pain when he, as the evil EMH, temporarily paralyzes her), and the injuries to Zahir are never seen being treated by anyone, and definitely not on board Voyager.
10. Seven becomes immune to the effects of something as the result of Borg technology in all of the following episodes...except this one.

Answer: Tsunkatse

There were many instances where Seven was unaffected by something due to her Borg physiology or proximity to an object in space emitting a Borg signal of some sort. In "The Killing Game, Part 1", Seven's cortical node is able to be tweaked by the Doctor so that she is unaffected by the Higoren's neural implants, which have caused the crew to believe they are the characters they're playing in the Nazi/World War II simulation.

In "The Raven", the Borg signal being emitted by the U.S.S. Raven shuttlecraft reactivates Seven's Borg armor, enabling her to be immune to the phaser fire by Tuvok's security team holding position in the corridor as she is en route to the shuttlebay.

Then in "Bliss", after Seven is confronted by Chakotay and a couple of security officers, who escort her back into the cargo bay, she uses a control panel near her alcove to activate a special Borg forcefield--one that they can't penetrate, but one she is able to walk right through. So that leaves "Tsunkatse" to be considered.

In this episode, there is absolutely nothing that Seven is immune to--not while she is on the shuttlecraft with Tuvok and nor while she is participating in the combat sport inside the alien arena.
