Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the first thing we see in this episode?

Answer: A clip from the "Rusty Venture" cartoon

Master Billy Quizboy was watching it very closely. He noticed certain clues put in the show that he thought could lead to treasure; he had been searching clues for thirty years. His roommate, Pete White told him that his most recent clue was a website. Billy thought that was impossible since the cartoon was made in the 1970's but when they put that URL into their computer, it was a Maplook map of the Venture Compound. Billy was eager to go to the Venture Compound in hopes of finding more clues to this mystery.
2. When Master Billy Quizboy was explaining that there was a hidden clue to a treasure in the Venture Compound to Dr. Venture and his family, who was opposed to the idea of excavating the compound?

Answer: Brock

Billy wanted to dig where Brock's herb garden was. More importantly Brock was assigned by the Office of Secret Intelligence to protect that particular spot from the Venture Compound. Brock then started doing some outside research on what his assignment really was. Dr. Venture made Hank dig up that spot anyway while Dean was serving him drinks.
3. According to the clue found in the Venture Compound, Pete White and Master Billy Quizboy were able to use the internet to figure out where this treasure might be. Where did they say was the treasure?

Answer: Studio 54 in New York City

After figuring out the clue "In Minuit's bargain sits in house that coke built. In a loud room of quiet whistlers behind the Wilde gray gentleman sits the 221210" Dr. Venture and Billy took the X-1 to New York City. Billy was very excited about this and said it was just like the old "Rusty Venture" cartoon. Pete stayed at the compound to look after Hank and Dean.
4. Was the treasure Dr. Venture and Master Billy Quizboy were looking for located in the exact same spot they figured out from their clue?

Answer: No

From the clue, Dr. Venture and Billy thought the treasure was located in a foldaway changing table in the backstage bathroom of Studio 54 in New York City. Back at the Venture Compound, Dr. Orpheus told Hank, Dean, and Pete that this clue was from the Victorian era and that the treasure could not be located in Studio 54. Dr. Orpheus did send his friend, The Alchemist an expert on the nineteenth century, to decipher the clue.

He determined that the treasure was behind a painting of Robert de Montesquiou in the Frick Museum in New York City which it was.
5. We learn in this episode who Jonas Venture Sr.'s bodyguard was. Who was he?

Answer: Kano

This was also the first episode where Kano speaks; everyone thought he was a mute before. Kano said he took a vow of silence by choice because he "took out a great man". It was not revealed who this "great man" was in this episode. We also learned that Kano enjoys karaoke and baking.
6. According to the gramophone made by Sandow, a bodyguard who is assigned to protect the orb must kill anyone who would try to activate the orb.

Answer: True

The Office of Secret Intelligence told Sandow that no one is to activate the orb and if anyone tried to that he must kill them. The OSI thought it would be better if no one used the orb even though they did not even know what it does. Both Brock and Kano were given this same assignment. ORB was even an acronym for Brock which stood for Operation Rusty's Blanket, Brock learned from Colonel Gathers what that meant in this episode.
7. According to Colonel Lloyd Venture mentioned in Sandow's gramophone, who of the following did not contribute to the construction of the orb?

Answer: Robert Boyle

Colonel Venture was fascinated by what this orb may do; no one ever activated it before. Many historical figures were arguing over who should use it even if anyone should use it. Venture told his bodyguard, Sandow, that he was going to use the orb. Sandow begged him not to use it but Venture still wanted to do it. According to Sandow's assignment from the Office of Secret Intelligence, he was suppose to kill anyone with interest of activating the orb so he did. Brock was given this same assignment in the event of Rusty wanting to use the orb.
8. Dr. Venture and Master Billy Quizboy did end up finding the orb, did either of them wanted to activate it?

Answer: Billy did and Rusty did not

Billy was looking for the orb for thirty years and he wanted to know what it did. Rusty, rather than activating it, wanted to study the orb instead. He said that his father hid the orb for a reason and it would be too dangerous for anyone to activate it. Brock found out Rusty and Billy was looking for the orb and did found them when they discovered the orb.

After hearing what Rusty said, Brock was relieved that he did not have to kill him, he was willing to follow the orders given by the Office of Secret Intelligence even though he considered Rusty family.
9. What did Dr. Venture do with the orb?

Answer: He put it in a safe

As he put it in the safe, Hank asked if he found the treasure. Dr. Venture told him it was just a note from his father. Dr. Venture chose to keep the orb a secret from his sons.
10. Who of the following was not in this episode?

Answer: Phantom Limb

Colonel Gentleman was shown in the beginning of the episode during the "Rusty Venture" cartoon. Samuel Clemens better known as Mark Twain was seen in the flashback with Sandow and Colonel Lloyd Venture. H.E.L.P.E.R. was seen in both the "Rusty Venture" cartoon and was seen flying Dr. Venture and Master Billy Quizboy to New York City. Even though a relative of Phantom Limb was seen in the flashback with Clemens, Sandow, and Colonel Venture, he was not seen nor mentioned in this episode.
