Paige had her powers but didn't know it. Drawing the triquetra could have been a sixth sense the the witchcraft.

2. Paige inherited Prue's powers, but why is Paige's power slightly different to Prue's?

Answer: She's half Whitelighter

As Paige is half Whitelighter, it makes her powers slightly different. The proper name for her power is telekinetic orbing. She didn't inherit her powers directly from Prue, but she did inherit the same ones.

Answer: Glen

Glen didn't believe that Paige was a witch so she thought that by casting a spell on him would help. But it backfired and made Glen stretch, literally.

Patty and Sam are her birth parents. As it was forbidden for witches and Whitelighters to be together they were afraid that Prue, Piper and Phoebe would be denied their birth rites - they wouldn't become The Charmed Ones. So to stop the Elders from finding out about Paige, they had to put her up for adoption.
