Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. New Mexico

Answer: Breaking Bad

"Breaking Bad" aired on AMC from 2008 to 2013. Running for five seasons and 62 episodes, the series was both set and filmed in Albuquerque, NM. Bryan Cranston portrays the main character, a high school chemistry teacher who has been diagnosed with a terminal disease. Wanting to provide for his family after his death, he gradually becomes involved with the illegal drug scene. Anna Gunn portrays his wife.

The series is considered one of the most critically acclaimed of all time.
2. New York

Answer: The Commish

Airing from 1991 to 1996, "The Commish" aired on ABC. Airing for five seasons and 94 episodes, the series was set in Eastbridge, a small town in upstate New York. Michael Chiklis portrays a former New York City police detective who has become the police commissioner of Eastbridge. Theresa Saldana and Kaj-Erik Eriksen portray his wife and son. In an interesting comparison to many other series where an actor portrays a character younger than him or her, Michael Chiklis portrayed a character who was about a decade older than him.

In the United States, a disproportionate number of television series seem to be set either in the New York City area or the Los Angeles area. One way to tell between the two is the presence of snow. Series set in the New York City area will tend to have the presence of snow in some episodes. Some television series set in New York City include "The Cosby Show", "Friends", "Barney Miller," and "Law & Order".
